Re: Terminator gets rebooted in 2015
On the one hand, meh On the other hand, maybe we get a return to form. Simple movie, killer robot from the future... Sarah Conner, people not understanding and wide spread devastation. Don't believe it. The franchise is too big for that. Too much "we need more awesome special effects" and...

Re: RAR - SDNet gets an aircraft carrier!
Well, then I guess David Cameron gets a new carrier very cheaply to do with what he wants.
I don't want a carrier. I don't want to be my own nation. I just want a new car.

Re: Imperial counters if Borg adaptation works
Is it even feasible for the Borg to keep all previous adaptations active at all times, even when they have become useless? To give a shield/weapon a frequency you need an oscillator. To adapt it to a different one you either re-tune the oscillator (at which point you lose the adaptation to the previ...

Clarkson is a satirist who built his career on taking the conservative stance on issues, turning it up to 11 and throwing it back in your face.
His jokes aren't meant to be funny, they are there to make you choke on your laugh.

Re: Courts Marshal of the Enterprise-D Command Staff
I would question Troi's charge of cowardice etc. She turned the ship about, but she was given order by Riker: "Deanna, take the helm! Get us out of orbit! " Emphasis mine. So you can strike the "without authorisation" charge. You can still charge her for gross incompetence in ex...

A marshal is a law enforcement official or a military rank.
The word you are desperately trying to miss here is ' court-martial', with the plural being 'courts-martial'.

Re: Toxins in cockpit grounded F-22s
Honeywell's OBOGS is an oxygen concentrator taking the stuff directly out of the surrounding air. It IS the simpler solution. In this case, simpler isn't better. :( The same kind of system has been in use on planes for ages. If I get that right, traditionally they were made by Cobham (working with ...

You mean beside the dangers of high-pressure oxygen stored onboard, the limited capacity, the higher maintenance requirements or the sheer weight of the stored ox...

Pilsner Urquell, Radeberger Pilsner, sometimes Feldschlößchen (the Dresden one, not the Swiss), Freiberger or Eibauer Schwarzbier if the mood strikes me. Berliner Pilsner is somewhat of a comfort beer to me. Can't stand Weizen though. Does the Rostocker Hafenbräu exist still? http://www.ddrtechnik.d...

The iPhone was a bit of a waste, to be honest. The netbook will duplicate most of the iPhone's functions and let you watch Netflix, and you could have bought a cheap cellphone and an MP3 player for the functions it won't duplicate adequately and still had a couple of hundred bucks left for Tim Hort...
