Re: World of Tanks
A word of praise for the T-34 from myself as well. With the 57mm "machine-gun" the T-34 can be effectively made into a really good money printer. I have the advantages of elite crew and secondary skills at 60% for all of them and the gun-rammer. Normally I average around 3 to 4 kills per r...

Re: World of Tanks
Type's are a pain in the ass. Luckily, it appears that most who own them have little to no clue how to actually play the game instead of relying on simply trying to bully their way through everything they come across while relying on their speed and armor alone to carry the day. One such believer ca...

Re: Your best videogame kill ever
The game: Battlefield 1942 (Desert Combat v. 0.6) The equipment: 1x unarmed Humvee The target: 1x Mig-29 flying at high speed The kill: Drove the motherfucking Humvee right off a cliff and through the windshield of one rather surprised fighter jock. Which goes far to prove that unarmed jeeps are ind...

Re: Sword of the Stars II released, is gigantic pile of fail
Current experiences after the latest patch. Playing as SolForce with 4 AI players, random encounters engaged and the previously crash-happy Von Neumann RE's engaged as well, 60 turns with no crashes, no appreciable slowdowns or significant enjoyment killing bugs. Trade seems to work as it should and...

Re: Sword of the Stars II released, is gigantic pile of fail
Just as a heads up to anyone who's still willing to give this admittedly disappointing (understatement of the month?) game release a try. I've got about 35 hours of playtime spent on 5 different games. In one, I got up to 200 turns before starting a new game due to last weeks patching. Current game ...

Re: Steam Hacked
Started using Steam more only a month or so back and purchased some crap through there. Seeing as to how I'm a bit overly paranoid over my personal information at times, how worried should I be about my credit card information ending up in the wrong hands as a result of this? I understand it's more ...

Re: Sword of the Stars II released, is gigantic pile of fail
On turn 200 in my current game with the latest patch, experienced two crashes getting there. Been researching, fighting, building and colonizing during the entire game without any of those causing a crash. However, its still apparent that the game is horribly broken. It takes me 30 SECONDS to get ba...

Re: Finnish meet '11?
Been hanging around here for ages and noted the previous Finnish meet threads, but what with the short attention span and lack of free time for anything, I've never been able to attend. December 10th eh? I live near Tampere but I might be able to tag along. I just wont recognize any of you fine gent...

Re: World of Tanks
Going up as far as the T-34 in the American Heavy Tree is worth it if you can get up to the T-34 before the July patch. On the July patch the US tree will be revised, and if you've got a T-34 you also get a fully upgraded M103 on top of that. I'm currently aiming for that myself, got the T-29 fully ...

Re: World of Tanks
Hokay, fearsthat the T-29 was actually nerfed in a meaningful way can be laid to rest. The only thing those dumbasses in Belorussia managed to accomplish is making my kills slightly more expensive as they didn't lower shell cost when the gave the slight damage nerf. Other than that, same great tank...

Re: World of Tanks
I fucking love the T-34. Got it yesterday, now got it pimped out with the best engine, best tracks and the absolutely beastly long 57mm. It pretty much butchers and spits out everything on the same tier and seriously hurts stuff even two tiers above. After the absolutely horrible experience I had wi...

In relation to the media concentrating on the "OMFG NUKULAAR DISASTA!" headlines, the same can be said for a couple of widely read Finnish papers. Some of the headlines are in fact so brilliant as to proclaim that the radiation from Fukushima is now "threatening" California and ...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
Decided to take the last advantages of the 5x exp and credits yesterday and went for the Maus. Seeing as to how I already had the VK4502 fully upgraded and grinding exp and cash was very quick since every round got me at least some 200k cash and 2000exp. So I went for it and bought the Enhanced Gun-...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
Got the VK4502 and the 12.8cm for it. It's pretty...mean  Took out 33% out of an IS-7 through frontal plate and killed the bugger off with 3 more shots (1 bounced). Frontally the 12.8 penetrates practically anything and is quite accurate even at longer ranges making sniping possible, but it...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
Yeah, the balance has been weird recently. Several times I had Traktors and MS-1s in matches with IS-3s. I always ask my team to spare the little ones, if they can. But even though the ammo costs more than the tank they're killing my teammates still keep killing them ;_; I understand this attitude ...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
It's when you meet a same or higher tier heavy (i.e. IS-3) that medium vs heavy battles become very suicidal. This is only true if you encounter a GOOD heavy player/team. (Spoiler: 90% of tanks players are terrible and you will often inflict significant damage/death on them with casual ease) I was ...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
As it is now if the soft-wipe ever does come then there's going to be a hoard of IS-4s and T-54s afterwards as they seem to be the best in their classes by some way at the moment although I think there will be a lot of people going for Americans as their secondary choice. Germans I think are going ...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
Arty got pretty seriously nerfed by the last patch. The official forums are awash with arty players crying now that their beloved SPG's perform remotely like artillery really would. I tried out my Wespe today and with a 60% crew it's pretty much impossible to do jack shit against anything more mobil...

Re: I went to Vegas but all I got was shot in the face (Fall
This Machine + Hollow Points works wonders against Cazadores. Riot Shotgun is another wonderful tool for killing them and if one wants to take the "Blow up the fuckin' bugs with big-ass explosives" route, I recommend the lovable Grenade Machinegun which becomes available just before level ...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
I heard a rumor that the next update is going to wipe all your accounts tanks, but remember it is definitely an out there sort of rumor. This will most likely happen. It happened with the previous major patch and I'd expect the devs to do it again. Although, if they go about it like they did with t...

Re: World of Tanks Beta
I got the 88mm L56 gun for my VK3601. Now I can reliably damage most of the heavies and one-shot PzIII's and smaller. I still keep my VK3601 with that gun even after getting the Tiger. It can reliably inflict damage even upto IS-4's and Tiger II's with that gun. Once you get your crew to 100%, the ...

Been playing it for a while now. Up-to having researched the Tiger and fully upgraded my VK3601(H) with the 8.8cm KwK 36 l/56 gun. Just got the new treads and improved engine for it and my crew is at 98%. It feels goot to be able to effectively engage anything upto the size of IS/Tiger tanks, even a...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and ask since the issue intriques me. Stuart, would you be referring to skin temperature increase caused by air friction when you talked about the B-2's detectability? It's also very interesting to hear your thoughts on the reasons behind killing the B-70. A few mo...

Been "playing" CN for the better part of 4 years now. During that time, I've been wiped out twice pretty much completely during the numerous wars CN alliances go through every year. It's one of those browser games you either check daily for about a week before forgetting about it, or end u...
