I have no idea what you just said, but I'll pass the questions on to my Bio teacher if you want. in less, bless her, you think those questions would be beyond a 9th grade bio teacher. Though I don't see why it would, they don't seem that complex, just beyond me... To tell you the true, I don't thin...

I have no problem with critically analyzing evolution in the classroom ... Except that the people performing this analysis are not competent to do it. The entire scientific community has critically analyzed the issue already, and with far more resources and knowledge at their disposal than a single...

Not really, the only difference (ignoring gene recombination) between opposite sex siblings is the Y chromosome, which is almost entirely non-coding DNA. It may be that said difference is considered significant enough in absolute comparative terms; I'm not sure, and don't claim to be an expert on t...

i thought all fetuses were female up until a certain point in development when the appropriate chromosome kicks in? Very early stage, comparatively. Though males are just genetically deformed females, in a very strict sense, yes. However what that means is that, for example, you have more in common...

Well, in that case I'd have to disagree. In you can study virtually everything in biology without any concept natural selection. Now without any concept of natural selection you might have a hard time as a wildlife biologist, but that hardly renders all other aspects of biology into stamp collecting.

Any botanists running around here?
Why are chlorosomes not considered to have unit membranes? Is it because the base plates that conect them to the cytoplasmic membrane are proteins and not phospholipids?
Edit: Sticky. Why? BecauseI have teh powa.

Is anyone here either currently a member of Alpha Chi Sigma or a professional alumni of it? For those that don't know, it's a co-ed chemistry fraternity.

I don't know what the name of it is, but I've seen it on several times in the last several days. Basically the captain gets some sort of parisites in his head and he wakes up like 10 years in the future. Ends up that the the bugs act like alzheimers and he can't remember a damn thing day to day ( I ...
