Re: NFL 2011

Leinart was imo pretty overrated, it's easy to look good when he had such an amazing surrounding NFL caliber cast. Florida also lost to an Ole Miss team that still finished with 9 wins and beat a top ten Texas Tech squad.

Re: Godforsaken Future

Maybe the story lasts until the 21st century because even though the enigmas and bozorgs kick the human's asses, their attention turns on each other and it's not until the 21st century that one of them prevails and refocuses back to the humans.

Unless of course, in this universe it's the enigmas or the mysterious party excavating Antarctica that's behind Scientology. :D

Re: Godforsaken Future

What I'm curious about is how this new enemy could seemingly wipe out an entire horde of bozorgs without firing a shot in Iran. Are they somehow disrupting the connection between the mind and its own forces? Has this phenomenon been encountered on any of the other fronts as well?

Re: Godforsaken Future

Was the Russian general who committed suicide the same one from Kost and Kabul? But at least the humans managed to link up their pincers and complete the encirclement, that's gotta count for something. Also, if I read it right, were there 3 encirclements? One in China, one in India, and one about to...

Re: Godforsaken Future

I can see the Bozorg advance halted by the counter-attack in India, only for it to pick up steam in the Iranian front. What are the troop compositions in Iran? I can't imagine the Iranian conscripts there are very well trained and equipped and it's not like the human-wave tactics that worked in the ...

Okay, I see then. Also, I remember reading that most of Pakistan has already been overrun. Did the Pakistani government manage to evacuate most of its population?

Re: Godforsaken Future

Interesting that the US is able to send a sizeable contingent of troops to the Central Asian front. Does that mean the Bozorg advance in North America has been slowed sufficiently? Also surprising that the US isn't sending assistance to South America since that front seems to be in the gravest danger.

Re: Godforsaken Future

Where are the Iranians in this? Are they still pouting at the Soviets? How about other countries a little bit removed from the fighting such as East Asia, Africa, etc.

Re: Godforsaken Future

If the Americans are jamming the bozorgs, doesn't that mean they won't be able to transport nukes away, making nuking a viable option again?

Graph theory question

My main question is regarding quick algorithms to check if removing an arbitrary node x on graph g will make g un-connected. Here’s some more background: I’m writing software to redistrict voting districts within the US. In the process of creating new districts, some of the districts may become over...

Re: Supernatural Is Awesome And Everybody Should Watch It

So Michael and Lucifer are two estranged brothers who often come to blows and have a father who up and left and as a result everything has gone to hell in a basket. Very subtle. Pretty cool. The lucifer connection that they castiel might have been brought back by lucifer was something that I though...

I thought angels and demons were distantly related to humans. If they are, then who were Yahweh's servants prior to the humans? Were those servants phased out as well?

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Twelve Up

DIMO(N) Conference Room, The Pentagon, May 2009 Looking at his chart, Lemuel-Lan-Michael found his eyes drawn to the small number of names on Ishmael's list that were not linked to the conspiracy he had uncovered. Is this suppose to imply that those small number of names are in Michael's original c...

Re: The Salvation War: Pantheocide. Part Seven Up

Forgive me if this question has been answered but I don't think it has. How high ranking was the colpatiron, however you spell it? If he was only a level or two below the archangels, then I think heaven's air defense will only prove irrisome. If he was a lower one, then the air battle when gets wage...

Re: 2008 NCAA College Football

Although the Virginia Tech win keeps us out of Tampa, at least we finally beat the Mutts. That was actually our biggest goal, selected by the players themselves. It was an exciting and easily a classic game: a 45-42 shootout. Anyone who's ever called our offense three yards and a cloud of dust needs...

I'm thinking the courts will just make the defendants remove their tin-foil hat then have the succubi read their minds. Luga, private eye. Succubae (and other demons) don't read minds per se. They have the ability to possess minds by imposing their thought patterns on to those minds and they can se...

Tom Cruise's character in the Last Samurai was a pretty sanctimonious cunt. Hey, I'm gonna be pissed off at my captain for butchering Indians and turn right around and be OK with Samurai butchering their own people because it's they were only doing their fucking duty. That doesn't mean you did great things. It just means you're dumb, and good at surviving. That's pretty much one and the same. I'm thinking if heaven does do go the guerilla route, then so what? The "collateral" damage will just go to hell. Asides from the propaganda hit, all they'd accomplish would be angering the humans even further. I also wonder how the discovery of an afterlife will change the public's perception and t...
