Your favorite phpBB plugins/themes/add-ons

So I just bought myself a domain, and I'm setting up a phpBB for it. (Not linking it, not trying to advertise here). What are some of you all's favorite phpBB features, plugins, and themes? The site the BBS is on is (at least initially) going to be kind of a catch all "whatever I feel like putt...

Re: The Occupation of Wall Street Spreads

I know this is totally off topic for the current discussion, but I didn't know where else to put this. I was screwing around on facebook or twitter or something and found one of the Occupy Wallstreet pages. Linked on it was this website, with a quote saying "this is the idea we need": Glob...

burden of proof for belief in God

I think I know where I wanna take this discussion, but I'm hoping for some input from the more experienced debaters here. Considering God doesn't exist is it possible to be a real christian? PROVE IT BITCH. the burden of proof is on the believer, bitch. And do you not believe that there is no God? A...

So apparently Valve's "surprise" is Portal 2 will be coming to the PS3 with some exclusive Steam integration features. Probably exciting for PS3 owners, but nowhere near worth the hype to me.

Censorship sucks, but I doubt it's going away anytime soon.

This is the first I've heard of this show though, and I'm very excited. I love the shitmydadsays twitter page. It's the only thing I think I'll ever bother to check out on that site. I might actually turn my tv on to check this out.

Can't wait for Portal 2.

Re: Linux pronunciation

I'm sure Linus Torvalds has his own crazy way of saying it. Is it important how you say it? I call it 'Lie-nux' because it's a giant con on nerds. :) It's not important, but I was curious. The IPA pronunciation is helpful, but it doesn't really explain which one is more correct. I guess it doesn't ...

Linux pronunciation

I searched for a thread about this but couldn't find one. Apologies if this has been discussed before. I don't use Linux, but I've always believed the pronunciation was something like lin-ucks, with a short 'i'. In a college class recently though, a professor who DOES use Linux referred to if a few ...

E-cigs are pretty awesome. Some advice though; be careful if you order one over the internet. Research the company and make sure they aren't trying to screw you over. I say this because I got a LUX E-cigarette from some random website that advertised "free equipment, just pay shipping and handl...

Re: droids using the Force?

I think you mean Skippy the Droid, who is non-canon. It wasn't Skippy the droid. This droid was a dead Jedi whose life energy was imprinted on a protocol droid by his Jedi girlfriend. He could use the Force I'm pretty sure. The fleet of ships they were in was (I think) the Katana fleet. It was defi...

droids using the Force?

In the SW universe, I seem to remember there being a droid somewhere that was capable of using the Force. I think it was a droid that had a Force user's soul or life force inside of it, and I THINK it was in that old novel where Luke Skywalker falls in love with a Force user trapped inside that flee...

Re: Fleeing drug wars, Mexicans flood into U.S.

LSD is no joke, sure, you won't die from it, but the effects are unpredictable and the psychological problems from it can be severe. Some people who take that trip just don't come back, I think that makes it more dangerous than pot, booze, or tobacco. Is this based on any real medical evidence or s...

The proposed change to the law would put "all Church institutions, including your parish, at risk," says the letter, which was signed by Connecticut's three Roman Catholic bishops. Well now, maybe they should have thought of that before molesting children. Judging from the response...

Yeah, I don't see why its even newsworthy, myself, or why its relevant that they were Google employees, for that matter. I agree - what possible ramifications could a verdict like this possibly have? This is awesome. The 20 gig HDD that came with my used 360 can hold like 1, maybe 2 games and associated DLC. I was thinking of buying a bigger HDD for as much as I paid for the goddamn console itself, but instead I'll just go buy a couple 16 gb flash drives.
