Re: Linux in Windows - Implementation
Thanks, my workstation died and is currently open for surgery so no updates. Also, I might be commercializing some of this. Well it's definitely adding value, so yeah, go for it. Not precisely. There is no VHD. It's all running on your normal Volumes. If we stick to Drive type filesystems (their te...

Re: Linux in Windows - Implementation
Nice research. How does having two file systems work? Is the plugin file system on a VHD? On the subject of formatting, is it smart enough to recognise both *nix and windows style line breaks or do you need to make sure you're using a *nix text editor? Tangent: what makes node puke worthy? Just curi...

What Phong said, a cloud based solution is going to save you a lot of headaches and get you up and running quickly, especially when it's only a small deployment. However, if you absolutely must have onsite infrastructure for authentication, user accounts etc, something like Red Hat's Identity Manage...

Yeah, you guys are getting dicked on minimum wage. NZ's $13.75/hr ($10.70US), and Australia's $16.37 ($14.58US).
Wow, Australia's really leading the charge on this, good work guys!

I'd be concerned if you wanted to migrate from Brisbane to the bustling metropolis of Dunedin. Although if you really wanted to live on the cheap, there's always Saigon.

Man I looked out of interest at housing prices in CHCH before it fell down, and I was blown away anywhere in that town could be worth half a million, especially considering earning power. It was a very popular place to buy investment property before they knew it was directly on top of a fault line....

I'm not sure if the ignorance or the racism comes first, so I'll go with 'I think you missed the point'. I'm confused about NZ comments however; I was in dunners a few months ago and it seemed a very expensive town. Certainly no cheaper than Brisbane and in some ways more expensive. I was actually ...

If Santa put a ranting letter about some guy he hates in every stocking then yes, he'd be a big fat bully. Doesn't Santa have a right to respond to criticism about his weight? Sure. He even has the right to be a bully, which he would be, if he engaged in such behavior. Do you have a recommendation ...

I didn't even know this organization existed until last week. I'm not sure if they're just our same old intelligence service, the NZSIS, renamed, or something else. They've been quick to lay the blame on the NZ police, saying they were wrongly informed he was a foreign national, rather than a New Z...
