Actually if it makes you feel any better, the crowd started chanting "Bill, Bill, Bill" after the debate. You can hear it on the Youtube video just before the sound cuts out.

Re: Among The Costs Of War: Billions A Year In A.C.?

Now it's important to note that wrapped up in Anderson's $20 billion figure are all kind of other expenditures – for instance, the cost of building and maintaining roads in Afghanistan, securing those roads, managing the security operations for those roads. That all costs a lot of money and is part...

Re: EVE Online Novels??

But if you're a fan of EVE Online's backstory, I don't think it would be a massive mistake if you bought it. My taste isn't your taste. Just remember to turn your brain off for certain parts, and don't expect Hugo-award quality. I actually read over some of the reviews for each, and decided that Th...

Re: Modern Warfare 3s Story to be dumber than last.

Meh, at this point complaining about a lack of realism in a modern-set FPS storyline is like complaining that ice cream melts. At least it's not as loony as Homefront. And Homefront looks like a carefully-thought-out prediction next to the sheer conspiracy-theory-mumbling, tinfoil-hat-wearing, poli...

hey guys, I've finally gotten into SCA heavy combat after watching it for a while, and I've been looking around for cheapish armor. I found Pit Bull armor, seems pretty decent but I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on their stuff. That, or if anyone knows where I could get some decent entry le...

Re: WH40K Space Marine Trailer

In other news, am I the only one who thinks the graphics engine displayed in the trailer is just a souped up version of the DoW2 engine? Not that that's a bad thing, but I personally liked how the pre-alpha look was turning out more, reminded me less of BLAHD RAHVENS.

Re: WH40K Space Marine Trailer

Reading the various previews etc, the Ultramarines are apparently a placeholder. Please god let them not be Blood Ravens, and someone has to have shot the guys who write the shitty dialogue, and the horrific voice actors for the loyalist characters, so they won't get near this ? Please ? Knowing Re...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 announcement coming soon

I keep hearing things about that ninja not being Raiden, but Gray Fox (and you guessed it, Raiden would be a clone/son of Gray Fox). Apparently Fox had red eyes/blonde hair, and it fits with the time line of Big Boss just starting his rebellion. Besides, we all know Hideo loves lolclones. But 'tis o...

Re: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

I simply took it as him referring to it as the Alliance's city. Lordaeron was, after all, a big part of the Alliance and Stormwind was nothing but friendly to them. In fact, the two populations have diffused from one kingdom to the other (stormwind --> Lordaeron during the second war, Lordaeron ---...

Re: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

what bugs me with the Wrathgate chain is how King Varian Wrynn, calls Lordaeron (city not kingdom) "our city", dispite the fact it never was that as of the current faction leaders, only Arthas (aka the Lich King) in addition to Sylvanas has any justification to call Lordaeron his/their ci...

I play Alliance on Madoran. It used to be a pretty small, slow server but since they opened transfers we've gotten a lot of people in. We were a bit alliance heavy before, but now I just plain have no clue. :?

I must say, I enjoyed realizing that I'm leveling faster the closer I get to 80, not slower. Just got from 73 to 75 today, once I get cold weather flying this should be a breeze.

Oh and fuck you too, Zul'drak.

They also expanded their idea of Badge gear from heroics and such, and now you can get actual Tier 7 gear from a badge vendor. Another cool thing they put in are pieces of gear that are Bind to Account which can be equipped from 1-80, can be traded between any of your characters, and scale with your...

I'm another of what could be called "hardcore-ish" raiders, we raided twice a week usually and during my prime I would put in maybe 8 hours of WoW in 7 days so nothing too great. My guild and I have done hyjal and BT before WoTLK came out. I can't really say that I'm disappointed in WoTLK ...

Any kind of sort-of organic moving mecha that makes organic-ish noises. I can watch any of the Saws, read any kind of horror book, go through any haunted house and not be scared, but if I watch the new War of the Worlds you'll see me genuinely freaked out. Same thing with Gekkos from MGS4, to a less...
