There are a few ways to make this new movie better than Superman Returns, but making it darker is not one of them. Despite its problems, it had the right tone for a Superman movie. The new one needs better casting and a better plot.

Snakes on a mothafuckin' plane!

Do you know about this upcoming film? It's about snakes. Snakes that are on a plane. That's the title, an accurate summary, and most likely the entire plot.

And, of course, River butchered a pack of vicious warriors without a scratch, who, although less numerous than the Crazy 88, also had guns . The Bride took on, as I recall, 43 Crazies at one time. She also fought two small groups of perhaps half a dozen of them seperately. I don't think there's any...

Jayne vs. Gunn

Obviously Jayne Cobb is cooler, but would he beat Charles Gunn (from Angel) in a fight? No guns or axes, etc. Just the two dumb "muscle" guys smacking at each other. Which one would prevail?

DC's human superheroes have shown the ability to easily beat groups of dozens of armed opponents.

As good as she is, I wouldn't bet on the tiny dancer beating someone like Batgirl, who is one of the best fighters in the DC-verse.

I was disappointed with the movie's box office numbers. It's not that bad, because I never expected it to be a success. I never expected there to be a sequel, as some fans hoped.

It isn't realistic, but I don't have much of a problem with it. I would have preferred an interstellar scale. This is just one of those sci-fi show things like having numerous habitable, earth-like worlds and aliens that are identical to humans. Or cowboys in space. An interesting note, in the visua...

River vs Buffy (Serenity spoilers)

This is as obvious a match as any, and now I'm the first to do it. So, considering what River did in Serenity, what would happen in a fight between her and Whedon's original diminutive teen girl fighter, Buffy?

Xander vs Wash

Let's face it, these guys are both Joss Whedon. The question here is, which one does it better? Xander from Buffy, or Wash from Firefly? It's a hard choice for me. I like Xander in the first few seasons, but not in the last two. He never seemed the same after the wedding episode. Wash isn't as promi...

Babylon 5's best and worst moments

From the actual series, not the spinoffs and movies.

Worst moment: any fight scene. Particularly the fight scenes involving Marcus. He was always surprisingly slow with his pike.

One really bad fight scene was the one where G'kar and that other Narn were hissing and waving their arms around.

Interesting. I expected Wildcat to be better than Mid-nite or Terrific. I really didn't know that Terrific was at that level. And Mid-nite didn't seem like much of a fighter.... for a superhero, of course.

I expected Huntress to be pretty low. It's a fact that's pointed out often.

A New Age in Comics pt. 2: Superman

I was going to write a new direction story for Spider-man, but I had another idea for Superman that I had to do. It's less of a parody, and more of an insane new direction. This epic opens with Superman fighting the nefarius Lex Luthor. Luthor is wearing a huge purple-and-green mecha-armor suit and ...

Yes, of course it's a parody. And yes, you can post it with credit. This reply is late because I don't have easy access to a computer. I can, however, post another one if anyone is interested. I'm working on one for Spider-man right now, and I could post it in a few days.

A New Age in Comics pt. 1: X-Men

I have some ideas that will totally reimagine the DC and Marvel universes. This is a new direction in superhero stories that will blow your mind out the back of your skull. The first is a story arc that will usher in a new era for the X-Men. I think Marvel will really like this, and give me lots of ...

Hyde from the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. The original, Alan Moore version, not the mediocre LXG movie. He fights another big, violent moster, the Beast from Angel.

I'll give the gun fight to Jayne. Vera is better than anything Worf has.

The bar fight probably goes to Worf, unless Jayne is lucky and finds a heavy stick before Worf does. Jayne is strong, but Worf has klingon strength.

Worf vs. Jayne

First fight: Jayne (Firefly) gets Vera (the best gun ever) and a pistol. Worf has a Dominion War-era phaser rifle and pistol. The fight takes place in a generic desert planet's mountains.

Seecond fight: bar fight. Unarmed.
