Re: External Hard Drive
A wood enclosure would run a serious risk of catching on fire . Most seem to have paper labels and never seen one even blacken so I doubt ot is that bad Agreed, but the fact remains that metal cases would provide better cooling than a wood case, no matter how nifty it would be. I'm looking for an e...

Re: External Hard Drive
Easiest to get an enclosure with all of the stuff already part of it.... Well, true, and if all else fails, I can get an external HD, and replace the one they provide with one of mine, though that would be expensive. On the other hand, style has to factor in here. How many manufacturers do you know...

Re: Which WoW server
Alliance on Suramar. Nice normal server, with a surprisingly helpful population, barring Brismoore, the local troll. Mains are Boonie, 72 Human Retadin, and Samonin, Fury Warrior of same race and level.

Re: External Hard Drive
I'm also looking to get an external hard disk or two. I've got some hard disks I'd like to use for the purpose, and some plastic sheets suitable for building a container out of. All I need still is the interface unit, something to let me connect my IDE drives to USB outlets, and nothing I've been ab...

Re: Most WTF moment in Boardgames
Edit: This may not be a WTF moment like the rest of you posted, but during a D&D campaign I was in, one of our party members was a little were-rat shapeshifter we picked up in the dungeon, and who was familiar with the zombie we were currently locked in combat with. I forget just how it happene...

Re: Most WTF moment in Boardgames
Haha, I love cascades like that. Turn a light damage hit into a world shattering blast. No kidding. I was once playing a Jedi in Star Wars d6, and I killed 6 people in a single round from a prone position. The GM didn't even have me roll damage. I just rolled so many 6's on the to hit rol...

Kryptman is wrong. The Imperium sent an extra-galactic space probe, like a Super GRIMDARK Voyager or something... like Pathfinder or the Galileo probe, but with spikes on top of skulls on waving banners on banerspikeskulls. Anyway, the signals they received from that probe are all Orky signals. Whi...

Gravity. I don't think I like your planet any more sir. I think it will no longer have the ability to sustain objects on its surface. :) Or just like turning off the gravity locally, like on dresses and such. :D People don't realize just how weak of a force gravity is. You do a very thorough job of...

The lunatic warhammer fundamentalists conquer all galaxies we know about with almost effortless ease. And then the friggin necrons on Cadia come out to play. Seriously. What made you think there was any vague fairness here? The fact that, while it is Warhammer vs. Stargate, it's one planet and a fe...

What he thought of himself is irrelevant, it's what other people thought of him that counts. He did betray his country, sacrificing it's security on the altar of his own arrogance, there's no twisting or torturing of logic involved. Incompetence is entirely different from betrayal, and betrayal get...

I don't care how old these fucking traditions are, they should stop. If it is their tradition to kill defiant women, well, then, it is our tradition to kill men who kill other people regardless of their gender. I propose that if they follow their custom we should follow up with ours. Because nobody...

I feel obligated to remind the world as a whole that Alphonse Capone was only jailed because the IRS got him for income tax evasion. One does not piss off the taxmen. More relevantly, one could easily nail the churches on the grounds that, while churches are tax-exempt, organizations which engage in...

I have a hard time seeing how this can really suck. Either a) it will rock my socks by sheer force of awesome, which I think will be more likely, or b) as you lot have noted, it will be a mediocre attempt to rip off Children of Men. Depending on who pays for me to see it, I might not regret watching...

God-Emperor, that's freaky. The only thing I know of to compare is monkey-faced lambs, whose mothers ate false hellebore during gestation. Link with description, no pics. I'd link to some if I could find them.

What kind of highway has a limit of 130km/h? The highest posted limit I've seen in wide-open Alberta is 110km/h. I used to live there, and there's a whole lot of nothing up that way. As I understand it, there's a lot of areas that lack speed limits. Aye. From what I have been told, in parts of Neva...
