Re: Modern Warfare 3s Story to be dumber than last.
It would be interesting if MW3 dealth with America counter attacking Russia, but having the rest of Europe still uneasy about the whole thing and trying to get a diplomatic solution. America's response: "Fuck you, we'll attack Russia by going through your stupid countries!" So World War 3 ...

Start of Cold War story.
I'm a huge geek for 1960-1970 Cold War history, and after a very disappointing playthrough of Black Ops my brain has been swirling with what it could/ should have been. This story isn't exactly intended to be sci-fi, but I'm going to include things like dramatized versions of MK ULTRA and Project Pl...

These people are just incapable of thinking ahead or learning from their mistakes. Congratulations, you've just written the character bio for every character in every piece of zombie fiction ever as well as identifying the core plot mechanic, conceits and what some would claim as "the theme&qu...

Re: The Walking Dead!
Stuff about the comic that I don't like, it might apply to the show down the road. For you guys who think the survivors are acting stupid now, wait until the Prison battle. To sum it up for those who haven't read the comics, the survivors find a prison complex, clear it out, and begin living there. ...

Nice to see both USMC and Army units on the ground. Sci-fi war movies usually pretend like it is one or the other.

[XB360] Just encountered a bug that means its impossible for me to get back into the Vegas strip. FUUUUUUUUU- Such as? I've been going in and out of the Strip regularly with a forged passport, I load up a game today and the gate says "Locked". The passport is still my inventory and the se...

Re: I went to Vegas but all I got was shot in the face (Fall
You do have to lockpick, I think that it is an "easy" lockpick which only requires a skill of 25. I always make characters with a least a little bit of lockpicking skill. Boone is godlike with any kind of longarm, which is great because it is letting me put skillpoints into more interestin...

Boone with a cowboy repeater was killing Nightkins like a madman up on Black Mountain.
Also, how exactly do you craft a scope for a hunting or combat rifle?

Re: Halo 1.5 ideas & suggestions
It really wasn't, because the health section was so small it was dramatically less relevant. If the health section is larger, the regenerating shield is meaningless. Having to use specific tactics to bring down shields quikcly? OMG THINK OF THE NOOBS! Oh man, delete weapons because you make other w...

Re: Halo 1.5 ideas & suggestions
Regenerating health makes it much easier for the leading player in a multiplayer game to stay on top comparing to non regenerating health, because the player's health is continually whittled down without the regeneration. The rifles are too good, I'm a DMR/Battle Rifle whore and I make an absolute k...

Re: Halo 1.5 ideas & suggestions
One of Halo's strengths is its clearly defined weapons. In Halo every weapon had a distinct purpose. That is one of the things that sets it apart from other high profile shooters; I am suggesting a return to the more clearly defined weapon roles that have been lost as the series has gone on. My sugg...

Re: Let's Create a proper MBT for Halo.
MBT? Nah.
How about a heavy IFV. It makes more sense for the UNSC. It would be easier to transport and better suited for urban operations.
Tell me this doesn't look like something out of Halo already:

Re: Halo 1.5 ideas & suggestions
Make these changes to the weapons list: Remove the zoom on the pistol. Include a x2.0 zoom on the assault rifle and make it slightly more powerful, but make it spread a lot when fired rapidly. Good for killing grunts and jackals at long range, but not overpowered enough to compete with a sniper rifl...

Re: Transhumanist Sci-fi
Miles Vorkosigan books by Lois McMaster Bujold are very transhumanist. The take place in the far future among multiple starsystems. There are no aliens, but humans have diverged massively in culture and genetics to create some freaky mixtures.
