Re: The Board Members You Miss Thread

Howdy, old-inactive member here. Been feeling a bit nostalgic and decided to check up on one of my first forums. Noticed that there is apparently a discord.
PM'd a couple people listed in the thread earlier, but no replies as of yet. Figured I'd see if that discord is still active/going.

Re: Nostalgia

I’ll be honest, I was hoping for a wee bit more activity here. Oh, but what the hell. It’s been a while since I last used this guy :banghead: or :wanker: Brings back the warm and fuzzies. Anyhoo. As I lie here, half-awake, I ponder if living in the past, thinking about what has been and can be no m...

Re: New animated series: Star Wars Rebels

I am soooo tired of the Jedi/Jedi angst. Order 66 happened, they're done. The Clone Wars never really grabbed me, but if this show can focus on the pilots, soldiers and scoundrels of the Rebel Alliance, SIGN. ME. UP.

Also, It better have Wedge Antilles.

That is all.

Its almost as if your expectations were conditioned by your experience, isn't it? Quite possibly, but that doesn't make Darksaber any less awesome. I was agreeing with you until you said you liked Darksaber. 8) Again, to each his/her own. But yeah, look, there's a lot of Star wars, and differ...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2

SU-26 is my favorite arty in the game. The turret means less scatter, and with camo netting, the thing's damn near invisible. The trick with the 122 is to buy high explosive shells (the slightly more expensive kind) and maybe a couple of gold rounds (with credits) if you can afford them for the tier...

Re: Disney to acquire Lucasfilm

Always thought Jeremy Irons was an awful choice. Daniel Day-Lewis is my top pick, followed by Charles Dance. Cumberbatch would actually be an excellent younger Thrawn, IMO. Dudes. You're all missing a really, really good one: Christoph Waltz. He's around the right age, and he practically oozes mena...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2

I just got the M6 and am finding it frustrating. Any tips on playstyle/suggested unlocks for the modules? I already have the next best gun, and am working on tracks, but it just doesn't seem to turn well enough or be armored enough to my sort of favorite aggressive playstyle.

I just wanted to thank Chuck for doing these reviews every week. They're genuinely funny, heartfelt and thought-provoking. It really gives me something to look forward to each week, and the idea for Harry Kim being the only one to remember the "Year of Hell" was a good one.

Re: Why do so many people hate Wesley?

Wesley as a character was written annoyingly and wrongfootedly. Wil Wheaton the actor is much loved by the sci-fi fandom at large in part because he dissected the character.

Re: Darth Vader to be resurrected

see when I heard this I assumed either flashback, vision or like in the cave on Degobah. But then I thought wasn't one of Lucas's early stories for EP7 involve Luke falling to the dark side? Couldn't Luke become vader? Then he is the main villian for the next 3 movies and the new group of heroes ha...

Re: Enterprise during the Dominion War

I'm just trying to imagine an Enterprise-E Crewmember awkwardly walking into a bar just after the Dominion War had finished, and getting asked "Where the hell were you" by just about everybody in those older ships, and the survivors of the many Mirandas that died like flies. Raising Morale...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2

About the only times I feel safe firing on 2 face-hugging tanks as an arty are:

1) when the friendly tank is about to die and I have the hang-time plotted out perfectly

2) when I'm in my SU-26. 100% crew, and near-vertical drop. Then I can be...helpful.

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2

So I have 2k experience on the M4 E2 (Jumbo) until I have enough to unlock the T 20. I already have the M6 unlocked.

Which American line do you guys recommend? My favorite tanks are the VK 3601 H, the KV-1 S and I'm really enjoying the Jumbo if that helps at all. Thanks!

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2

I am f2p but am thinking about taking that veterans day deal of $15 for 3000 gold. I figure a 1 time purchase of that is what I would spend on a game I play far less. So, I'm thinking: 1 barracks expansion 3 new Garage slots, and a Tier V premium tank to earn enough to support grinding Tier VII and ...
