Re: Anyone still play Diablo 3?

I seem to remember Whirlwind barb being good for farming normal rifts and lower-end greater rifts, but not having the dps to get through higher greaters. So much so, that I have two barbarians, one for farming and one for pushing, at least, when I still tried to push. I always seemed to be one or tw...

Re: Anyone still play Diablo 3?

I haven't played in awhile, but I managed to get to 866 paragon before I got bored. When I was active it helped immensely to join a clan to group with, and it was pretty dead if you weren't playing seasons. Grinding greater rifts for paragon levels and leveling legendary gems got a bit soul crushing...

The behind-the-scenes book The Continuing Mission refers to it as a disruptor, for what that's worth.

Re: Captain America: Civil War thread

Here we go. Thor's explanation is at about the 1:40 mark.

Also, remember that the smaller gem was inside the larger, egg-shaped jewel that was on Loki's staff. Ultron breaks it apart and affixes the smaller gem to Vision's forehead.

In Avengers: Age of Ultron I seem to remember Thor straight up saying that the gem in Vision's forehead is the Mind Stone.

Re: Why No Enterprise-Class?

The "Ti-Ho" name comes from the book Mr. Scott's guide to the Enterprise . I think I still have my copy lying around somewhere, probably in storage. IIRC the book states that the ship is brand new and is "Enterprise-class" and also has Transwarp, lol. Of course, the dates in the ...

Re: Microsoft new Windows 10 privacy policy

Dumb question time, my PC running Windows 10 is connected to my router by an Ethernet cable, do I need to worry about it giving my Wi-Fi password away? When I go into Settings > Network & Internet, I don't even see a Wi-Fi option. Not that I'm overly worried, mind you, you pretty much have to be...

I voted yes, however, it's going to feel weird without the Fox fanfare leading into it.

Re: NFL 2015 Offseason

The whole Patrick Will retirement talk had me scratching my head, my first kneejerk reaction was, does he really miss Harbaugh that much? Maybe it's just one of those rare cases of someone retiring too early rather than too late. I read an article this morning that speculated that why Kaepernick's n...

Re: The Hobbit - Battle of the Five Armies (Spoliers)

I saw it today, and I enjoyed it well enough, most of my gripes with it have already been covered, so I won't rehash them. All in all, not a great movie, but good enough to keep me entertained and not feel like I wasted my money. My biggest disappointment was how briefly Beorn appeared, even though ...

Re: The Hobbit - Battle of the Five Armies (Spoliers)

Do we at least get to see Beorn showing up at the battle and tearing shit up? I wouldn't go with spoiler tags given the thread is noted as having spoilers, yes he does turn up but only appears for maybe twenty seconds top. Good call. I'm going to see it this Sunday with my Dad, and if Beorn didn't ...

Re: Dragon Age:inquisition question

I don't remember what level I was when I did "Here Lies the Abyss" but I'm pretty sure it was under 20, since I seem to remember stumbling upon the dragon in The Storm Coast, seeing he was level 19, and quickly running away as I was 17 or so, and I seem to remember that was after I did tha...

Re: Dragon Age:inquisition question

When you try to log in to Origin there's a "can't access account" option that directs you to a page to reset your password. That's on the Origin app on PC. Anywhere else, I got nothing. As to the game itself, to me it feels like Dragon Age 2, but way fucking bigger. Some of the story stuff...

Re: quick Free to play MMO questions

As mentioned before, Rift is pretty fun, although I was forced to recently quit due to scheduling conflicts. I enjoy raiding, and simply can't keep up with a raid schedule at the moment. Too bad too, because the 3.0 patch that's launching in October seems pretty cool. The only caveat about Rift is i...

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for that Tom Cruise movie Legend where Time Curry plays the Satan/Devil looking dude.

Also, Sniper, starring Tom Berenger and Billy Zane.

Re: Anti-alien Empire Origin

There's a brief reference to it in the novelization of Episode 3, where Dooku is going on internally about how the new government after the clone wars would be a government of human authority, how Dooku would serve and Empire of Man. He reflects that it is no accident that the powers of the Seperati...

Re: elder scrolls online

I gave it a try during the beta, and I couldn't get into it. At first I just chalked it up to being a beta, since I can never really get into a beta knowing there's going to be a data wipe. I thought the gameplay was vaguely similar to Skyrim, and I thought the combat was kind of fun, but beyond tha...

In Star Trek IV the federation Council president appears to be an elderly bearded human, and in Star Trek VI the president is a different guy played by Kurtwood Smith. Although it's never said on-screen, according to the novelization he's a deltan. So while I cannot ever recall having seen an electi...

Mild thread necro here: Has anyone seen it yet? The reviews I've looked at made it sound mediocre at best, and it sounds like the movie is going to finish well behind the Lego Movie at the U.S. box office this weekend, although it seems to be doing slightly better internationally. Personally, I've n...

I started off rooting for Denver, but when it became obvious that they were overmatched, I settled into my "well neither of these teams are my team, so let's see if there's some cool commercials" mode. I wasn't surprised that Seattle won, but I was surprised that it turned out to be such a...
