Re: Marvel announces She-Hulk series on Disney+

From what I recall, they are also using Wanda/ Vision and also Moon Knight. Never got into Moon Knight, but I thought he had an awesome costume. Moon Knight is one of those characters that has had so many short lived but interesting incarnations that I have no idea what we'll get. I liked his intro...

I thought it was pretty good. Not great but good enough that I look forward to the next season.

The full on alternate (but feels familiar) world building was cool.

Re: Thor 4 News (MCU).

I'm waiting to see what they do with this. I read some of the comics and there were a couple of things I disliked and there was a lot that was pretty good. I didn't like the idea that Thor was a title and that he would stop using his own name. I don't recall that happening when Beta Ray Bill took th...

Re: Godzilla: King of the Monsters (Spoilers)

Some Wikis are saying that when Godzilla released the excess radiation to kill Ghidorah, it was shaped like Mothra's wings, and her screech could be heard. I didn't catch that bit, did anyone else? I caught it the second time I watched after reading the same stuff you did. I thought the wings bit w...

Re: GOOD OMENS *potential spoilers*

I haven't read the source material but I was interested when I first saw the adds. I was off of work when it was released so I watched it all in a day or so. I liked it a lot but. David Tennant and Michael Sheen together were excellent. I seem to be watching a lot of shows that deal with Heaven & He...

Re: Live-Action Akira adaptation coming 2021

I'm not. I would be happy to be pleasantly surprised, but i just don't have faith that they can pull it off. That's where I am as well. I saw a video where Tetsuo and Kaneda are supposed to be brothers and the film will be set in a future version of New York City. So it's really on shaky ground as ...

Re: Godzilla: King of the Monsters (Spoilers)

With the presumably processed radiation of the Titans being millions of years old in terms of evolution it kind of makes sense that something would have evolved to have benefited from their presence even if it doesn't make sense to what we know in modern science. Ghidorah was massively evil in this ...

Well the right wing believe in free markets, so they can create their own company and compete with Facebook. Just be sure to not be hypocrites and not ban left wingers who are critical of them....Oh wait who am I kidding? There are a few alternatives. I think Minds is supposed to be a Facebook alte...

AOC is almost superstar level known even outside the US. I think the amount of calls and attention she gets, outpaces anything others in her position get.
That's for sure. A newly elected representative from one voting district in New York. She's getting a ton of attention

Okay, probably not. I'd give what she has to say a read though. It's faster and less annoying.

At this point she's just annoying either for her own crap or having to hear "AOC said...." from the people who hate her.

Re: SUPERTHREAD: 2020 United States Elections

Very disturbing new polling- Trump's approval, though still low at 43%, is at its highest by some counts since his first hundred days, and the percentage who strongly approve, at 35%, is the highest ever. This appears to be driven largely by independents, shifting toward him and away from the Democ...

Re: Twitter algorithms cannot tell the difference between Neo-Nazis and Republican politicians.

I'm not on Twitter so I don't really understand what the issue with Trump blocking people was. As far as I know that meant he wouldn't see their posts but they could still see his. That doesn't seem much different than getting his comments via TV or the newspaper. I wouldn't be able to respond inst...

Re: Twitter algorithms cannot tell the difference between Neo-Nazis and Republican politicians.

Is Twitter actually under any legal obligation to allow all political figures to access their platform, regardless of their conduct? Because while we know that they're not realistically going to ban, say, Donald Trump because he has a huge following and his Twitter account makes them money, he must...

Re: The Republican obsession with AOC

I'm semi-convinced she's trolling the Republicans kind of Trump style. Seeing if she can generate some AOC Derangement Syndrome. :D It seems to be working to some degree. Personally, I'm at the point where I mostly dismiss her and avoid hearing whatever batshit thing she's currently saying. Kind of ...

I am as well, obviously.

They seem really into the whole package.

To demonstrate this, they paid for the rights to use Godzilla's theme, Mothra's Song, and Blu Oyster Cult's "Godzilla!"
I didn't know that.

I do know from personal experience that sore throat lozenges to expire. At least the ones that I used 10 years after their expiration were crap. :D

I think they were the wrapped kind so I'm sure that's a contributing factor since they weren't sealed.

If they'd had more time in the episode I would have liked Mercer to argue that the Union had progressed to the point that they've "fixed" the supposed issue with people born during the offending time frame, or insisted that they had plenty of evidence that their people were fine. I mean, they are bo...

I didn't like the idea of a reboot but still thought it was entertaining. It wasn't as a good of a movie as Ghostbusters II but I enjoyed it more.

Neither are close to the original.

A Contributing Factor to Drug Costs in the US

I thought people might find this interesting. I work in a hospital pharmacy and this has been a big issue for the last couple years. There have been lots of drug shortages but most of the time we have to get rid of perfectly good drugs that have reached their official expiration date. The Myth of Dr...

That's another mistake I think you're making. Even the new wave of democrats are not advocating policies that are objectively that extreme. Another thing I'd like to see is for Wonder Woman to actually be on par with Superman power-wise. Because while I love Superman, it sends a kind of icky message when the the single most powerful hero in a setting by a mile is a straight white man from the mid-western US. In fact, if it were me I'd ...

Re: Martha McSally appointed to fill McCain's seat.

At most, in Congress, you get someone like Flake, who will speak up and criticize Trump but usually end up voting for him anyway, and is probably only doing that much because he's going to be leaving soon and doesn't have to worry about reelection. Where you get actual "moderate Republicans" is out...
