I'll second, or perhaps third as the case may be the choice of option A.

Glad to see this did not die...
I'll vote for option A) Status Quo.
The idea of the return of Nightmare Moon doesn't feel right, what with the whole Luna creating the Tantabus and all (though would that have occurred in this timeline?).

Re: Looks I might be avoiding the US for a few years
They are supposedly the Christian party who should want to help those who can't help themselves, but they are also the party that gets the most butthurt from "freeloaders". Depends on the brand of Christianity in part. The Prosperity Gospel and Calvinism are rather heavily ingrained in mo...

The stupidity hurts... I swear the more time goes on and the more EU I hear about, the more appealing a movies only purist approach seems appealing.

Re: Russian military plane with 92 on board crashes into Black Sea
Out of curiosity since someone probably knows, are the Russian military maintenance practices a result of the post-Soviet collapse, where anything the Russians were doing right went to hell, or were they always bad? I am guessing the latter, due to fact that everything I have ever heard about the So...

Re: Food Reduction
My mother and I have been noticing this for years. I do not have a problem, per se, with decreasing the amount/size of something due to increased prices of ingredients or increased transportation costs. Nor do I have problem with increasing the price of goods to reflect said increases. What draws my...

Re: Shooting at Dallas BLM Protest, Multiple Officers Shot
Aside from deaths and injuries, this is just throwing fat on the fire. I t discredits the BLM movement which, while not an ideal group has some legitimate grievances and leads to asshats making comments about race wars and "punks". Video of the event shows that those protesting were appal...

PICARD (V.O.) Captain's Personal Log. Supplemental. We're heading toward Federation space at maximum warp. The crew has responded with the dedication I've come to expect of them. And like a thousand other commanders on a thousand other battlefields throughout history, I wait for the dawn. Shinzon m...

I believe Skylake-E was expected around Q'4 2016 last I heard. Though I am not sure if that was rumored/leaked info was for production or availability.

Re: Next generation starship program
Instead of melee weapons and questionable prototype weapons why not simply issue shipboard security a combat shotgun of some sort. I do not think we have ever seen shipboard combat that occurs at a range that would render them ineffective. Different ammo load-outs could be issued based on the expect...

Re: Jon Stewart's final night as host of the Daily Show.
I am slightly pissed as my DVR decided to not record the last 8 minutes of the show. I am skeptical of Trevor Noah's ability to run the show, or at least run it in a way that I would like it. The guy did what, one or two segments as a correspondent before being given the show. I can't really say I c...

Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series on GOG vs Steam? I browsed the GOG forums and there seems to be some issues with the Steam releases compared to GOG (big surprise  ). I picked up the Jedi Knight pack on Steam a couple years ago, but haven't got...

No, but it could be viewed as a government endorsement of a particular religion, which is the problem.

Re: Homeworld Remakes, It's Actually Happening!!!
I'll be blunt: A lot of the Reddit/Relicnews posters are incredibly whiny motherfuckers. The first time I saw someone claim 'this is unplayable!' because of some minor change, my eyes just about rolled out of my head. Is it a perfect copy of HW1? Nope. Is there room for improvement? Yep. Do I hope ...

Re: Homeworld Remakes, It's Actually Happening!!!
This link should be useful. From what I gather GB handled the HW1 port pretty terribly. From the sound of it they are even using the multiplayer rulesets in the campaigns which is causing massive balance issues. I do regret not getting the CE (that's what I get for debating the decision too long and...

Nice to see someone else paying attention. Not like I didn't mention that the whole fraud thing is alleged in the third post or anything. It is not entirely clear that he did claim that though. It is just according to one anonymous witness.

Re: Judge says man must pay $30K in child support for kid wh
You do realize that what you quoted doesn't say that. It says one article claims that and that the claims cannot be verified because the proceedings are not public record. If said claim is true then he would be guilty of fraud.

As a result of all this, you can't simply look at a blank slate and say "welp, let's throw X dollars at Y, which costs Z dollars per unit," and automatically get X/Z units of Y. Duchess contrasted this to software and I think she has a point. With a software project, there is lead time bu...

I am curious about something regarding how this law works. The article makes it sound like it can be applied to homeowners and landlords as well as banks and lending institutions. I can easily see how you could provide statistical evidence for the latter two regarding discrimination, and maybe with ...

I haven't played since march/april last year but the Klingons had free carrier available at level 40. I seem to recall that statwise carriers were somewhere between cruisers and science ships, generally leaning a bit more toward the science ships. The Federation Atrox being the best example. The exc...

PBS. Half the day PBS is cheesy children's programming; a quarter of it (midday through afternoon) it's cheesy craft or cooking shows; and after that it's actual educational material like documentaries. Or, you know, Masterpiece Theater or something like that. Because there's nothing like British a...

Re: Biggest Ebola Outbreak In History- 1000+ Cases
A lot of that probably has to do with the fact that as Broomstick mentioned, the people who handle this stuff for a living and are highly trained professionals apparently lost samples of small pox that were recently found. A sample got misplaced by the FDA back in the 1970s... things were a lot mor...
