Re: Ukraine reacts to fears of Russian invasion as troops build up at the border

How do these countries have such little strategic reach? Being landlocked I guess. Australia can deploy and support troops pretty quickly but as an island nation we probably have that capability as a requirement.

Andor can't keep himself from interfering with that project
I'm pretty sure that was the only after credits scene in the series, too.

Re: We need to talk about Andor

Kinda curious about the uncle and his 'favours' though. The best he could swing was an entry-level data entry job? And that was the big family favour? The dude was recently fired, sure, but still had the credentials to be a fairly ranking member of that corpo security force.

Or it's the billionaire equivalent of drunk texting your ex, and then having to come up with an explanation that makes you out to be the victim somehow.

I just assumed that meant she'd run it past Bruce and his inhibitor should also work on Abomination since the two are so similar. If inhibitors are as normal as is implied, that should have come up before.

I agree, this thread is about Thor. Josstice League vs ZSJL isn't the topic, nor is box office. There's a thread already for the Snyder Cut.

Kevin Sorbo.

If it's not Herc, it could be Loki coming back.

Re: Thor: Love and Thunder | Official Teaser

Wish Marvel Studios would stop editing their trailers to hide things. You introduce Zeus and then have a shot with Thor in the middle and Korg on the right and nobody on the left? It didn't work for No Way Home, it won't work now. Calling it now - Hercules.

GHETTO EDIT: Looks like the ship has actually sunk!  :kill: Appearantly, Russian state media is being hysterically mad right now, demanding revenge (although, officially, it sunk by a "fire") and that it was a "direct attack against their territory"* or "that...

Re: UK to give asylum seekers one-way ticket to Rwanda

I was being facetious - we produce some of the world's best wine, a huge amount of wheat and other agricultural products, the mining sector is enormous, and natural gas in addition to coal and other fossil fuels.
It would be nice if bad ideas weren't added to the list.

Ahh, the Australian 'solution' to undocumented immigration. Why is that the only thing we export except coal.

Re: Ukraine reacts to fears of Russian invasion as troops build up at the border

I think Armenia, Georgia, and Moldova are more likely targets than Finland at this point (although yes, Moldova would have to be through Ukraine). Being a EU member does provide Finland with some protection. Nonetheless, I totally understand why Finland would be concerned about Russia. Hasn't Finla...

Re: Ukraine reacts to fears of Russian invasion as troops build up at the border

Finland is now approaching NATO, and now is certainly the time to do it - earlier would have been seen as provocation. Russia has its hands full and can't do much to retaliate.

That aside, Finland is a member of the European Union which does have mutual defence in its charter.

I don't see how being a woman of colour is relevant, but most of the argument was whataboutism - of course there are Nazis in Russia.

What is hopeful is that she pointed out how badly Right Sector and similar groups do in elections. The average Ukrainian wants nothing to do with that shit.

Edi - My emotional reaction was to get angry at the implication I'm trying to support the Russians, but logically you are correct. I hope you're right about Azov and they've reformed somewhat.
Solauren - I absolutely agree.

Re: Ukraine reacts to fears of Russian invasion as troops build up at the border

Crap, outside of the edit window. Okay. I'm not really worried about the current conflict. Russia has had its nose bloodied so hard the only plausible results are a peace treaty or WWIII. I can't do anything about either scenario. Arming the 'heroic' Mujahideen in Aghanistan led to: The Taliban Al-Q...

Which doesn't help those of us who are concerned that the West is now actively arming actual, openly neonazi units like Azov, who are going to come out out of this conflict lauded as heroes. Arming extremists just because they're fighting Russia has never backfired, right?

I echo the question. We're in the fog of war here. A false flag operation is a plausible scenario, especially if Azov is involved.

Which will serve him well if he's depowered or body swapped or something. But he's Kryptonian, not human. He's had to learn how to fight like Superman by fighting like Superman.

Re: How powerful 'should' Superman be?

I'm bored so I'll give this a crack. I don't think 'power level' is a thing so I'd probably in this scenario be reprimanded for telling my bosses to take a hike and focus on telling actual stories. Nobody asks what <random movie/tv protagonist>'s power level is, but they also always win. Point 5: Su...
