I got banned from #starwars-pl IRC channel for actually debating the Battle Of Yavin - the channel denizens claimed that the Rebels had to fight the entire fighter compliment of the station, despite obvious visual evidence to the contrary. As far as I know, they are stuck there in comfortable silenc...

You people wonder why I think theses boards are funny,Ignorance.I listen to your arguments and they are flawed. You cop out and say we're close minded?only those who fear what they cannot understand remain close minded. You're the one who fears what he cannot understand, so you have to invent a fair...

But first they'd have to penetrate to that depth ... are ordinary bullets up to it? Hey, it's not like the T-Rex's skin is bulletproof. And since it's charging at you, all you need is to fire low, at the part where there aren't enough muscles to stop the bullets (most of the muscles are usually BEH...

I'd take the 12-gauge shotgun (semiautomatic, like the Benelli M1 or SPAS-12) with sabot slugs or an M16, and go for the legs. Even if you seriously hurt one leg, the T-Rex will eventually fall down and you will have all the time you need to pump it full of lead. Also, the UZIs with AP round wouldn'...

Fuel prices
Geez, those americans You just can't saitsfy them ;) Seriously, up here we pay about one $ a LITRE. A gallon is about 4.5 litres IIRC Water is still cheaper than gas in Poland...but gas prices are ridicoulously overinflanted. I would really enjoy it if the prices were the other way around - after al...

Berthas and Intimidators
I am afraid that none of these cannons would not be able to even put a projectile into orbit, much less even hit a target there. Elevating the barrels to a significant angle is not a necessity, as long as the gun can put enough energy into the shot for the projectile to exceed gravitational accelera...

Alright, alright. I'll admit that it's been entirely too long since I've played SC or TA. Gah. Same here - but I always seem to have no problem remembering gaming trivia, as opposed to undoubtedly more important knowledge (like mathematical formulas for example) As for dropping hundreds of bombs, r...

As an aside, TA air defense will -fry- SC aircraft once they're detected I have to agree with that. Same goes for dogfighting - TA aircraft would have no problem blasting fighters that, when attacking AAA, just hover in front of the gun openings :) Hm. Also - was there ever a display of high-level ...

Protoss BDZ
Actually, there was no mention of a BDZ operation in Starcraft. After the Mar Saara invasion, the Protoss fleet entered orbit and unleashed a massive orbital bombardment (it's stated in the blooper after the first few missions) However, it "only" had the effect of exterminating all life on...

I would clean up the mess the Communists left.
First, I'd make sure that my party has the majority in the Parliament, and that I control my party. Then I would reduce the social benefits that my current goverment keeps bloating, and thus freeing up lots of assets to use. After the "budget hole" got duct taped, lower the taxes significa...

Ouch.
This whole article is an example of nearly every logical fallacy there is...
My brain nearly exploded after reading all that gibberish.
I was going to quote one of the stupidest things i've heard, but this is just enough to qualify
Friggin' fundamentalists.
