i thought the first sim city was relativly enjoyable but the genre quickly lost my interest by it's complete and total lack of combat in any form in my games i just don't want to build anything unless i'm gonna use it to smash the crap out of somthing else I personally found dealing with numerous c...

It would be EXTREMELY cool if someone just improved the damn graphics and added some more human weapons. I'd be perfectly satisfied with JA2 level graphics and cool character models (clad in black, body armor, helmets, tactical flashlights strung uder the barrels of their weapons, etc) Plus good gre...

• Only 71 percent of the surveyed Americans could locate on the map the Pacific Ocean, the world's largest body of water. Worldwide, three in 10 of those surveyed could not correctly locate the Pacific Ocean. Ugh...holy motherfucking shit... I've never EVER met anyone who couldn't find the frigging...

I actually liked Sim City 3000 just fine, expect for those dumb-looking fusion powerplants.

There was nothing that could be compared to watching your giant hard-built metropolis covered with pollution from far away :)

What new features does SC4 have? And what the hell is Republic? :)

I LOVED TftD

The night underwater mission were SO much creepier than those from the original.

Plus, UFOs looked much more "technical", had cooler shapes, there were many, many more tougher aliens, and it was hard as hell...

But the ocean liners sucked ass, I'll give you that ;)

Anacondas will play with their food ( ) for shits and giggles. They will eat something alive, regurgitate it, then eat it again for the pleasure of the kill. Actually, I seem to remember seeing a pidgeon kill one other for no apparent reason. They were in a fight, and after one of them lost, ...

Part Two: Short Perspectives

Well, here it is. Part Two, written for my small fan base here ;) The next part will probably be going out sometime in February, after my exams. Please post some comments this time, as I'm sure that I'm not doing everything right, and I cannot improve my works if I don't know what people like and do...

I'd second Hemlock's question, but judging from the screenshots, it won't work on my computer anyways.

Besides, I prefer supersonic fighters :)

I'm writing the next chapter, but, unfortunately, mid-term exams are coming close, so I don't really have enough time to think about the story.

I'll post it as soon at it's finished.

In relation to this...more than armour...simply not being there is a much better defense. That's all fine and dandy, but I was asking about armor :) Word from american scientist is, strength is high for just about any deformation. While it's only in simulation at the moment, the results on elongati...

As I understand it, armor piercing bullets defeat kevlar armor by applying force to the smallest area possible. This is why you need a material that can resist schock well (eg. steel), so that it won't break under the stress. Fullerenes would be closer together, yes, but would this property in itsel...

Fullerene vests vs Kevlar and steel

Ok, a topic for the engineers in here. I've been hearing a lot about fullerene nanotubes and their supposed properties. There are people claiming that such tubes are 100 times more durable than steel, and as such would be great for replacing kevlar as a material that bulletproof vests are made from....

X-Com fanfic: Gabriel's Sword

The idea struck me a few days ago. I won't bore you with the description of the thought process, I'll just say it involved lots of heavy metal, a little boredom and a night's game of X-Com. Some of you may notice that I changed the date, equipment and tactics a bit - please forgive me for that ;) An...

However, some might exploit this and give themselves raise after ra...

True enough, and it is my opinion that you should avoid giving those people a reason to strike in the first place. But let's assume that they DO go on strike. Would you fire them all, or try to negotiate, or do something else entirely?

EDIT: Fixed a little typo

Govrnment employee strikes

Well, in my English class today we were discussing if government employees should be allowed to strike if they are underpaid, in order to get higer wages. The issue went unreasolved (well, it was a speech excersise, after all, not a formal debate), but it managed to slip into a morality discussion. ...
