Re: Netflix- Marvel's Iron Fist *potential spoilers*

I may be in the minority but I seem to enjoy Iron Fist. True, it looks drawn out but it has been enjoyable. Mind you I haven't seen any of the other series yet but I will once I'm done with this one. You may be in the minority but I am with you. And that's after watching all of them. I have even no...

Re: Trump Dump: Internal Policy (Thead I)

One is a literal crime. One is saying what he is perceived to believe he has to after the AG leaves him hanging(not under oath until that one day Congress calls him, mind you). You really can't tell the difference? You're really that political? You want a major something against Comey here. Find it....

Re: Trump Dump: Internal Policy (Thead I)

Cmon dude. Catch a dude lying under oath and you can trash his involvement in what's going down. Right now you're just saying "I don't like him so fuck him". The elections themselves, except for the testimony the Russians didn't directly fuck with voting, but did fuck with other things, ha...

Re: Netflix- Marvel's Iron Fist *potential spoilers*

I more had problems with the sudden DD2 Act shifts as opposed to the characters. The other shows just handled dramatic structure smoother. INCLUDING Iron Fist, whatever its other problems were. DD2 was jarring at times though the acting was good. IRon Fist had a much steadier story though the acting...

Re: Netflix- Marvel's Iron Fist *potential spoilers*

Let's be clear here. If there is one person who has a major ongoing interpersonal relationship with Luke Cage, it's Danny Rand. They're one of the most enduring friendships and partnerships in Marvel comics. The fact that Luke Cage and Iron Fist have been the weakest series so far makes it damn evi...

Re: Trump Dump: Internal Policy (Thead I)

Anyone else watch the hearings on Russia/Trump today? I caught just the end on CNN- lots of Comey getting questioned by belligerent Republicans and saying no comment, basically. Also, Supreme Court nominee hearings start today. Likely active case. He tore Trump a political asshole just by DOJ allow...

Re: Netflix- Marvel's Iron Fist *potential spoilers*

Now you're just being downright stupid. Luke Cage is a major relationship character for her in Alias just like Kilgrave is a major source of her issues. Cutting him as an ally is like cutting Kilgrave as the bad guy in the first season. YOU CAN'T and have it be Jessica Jones. It's like cutting Foggy...

Re: Netflix- Marvel's Iron Fist *potential spoilers*

Given the cast of Defenders you're practically describing that. The way the producers have described both the shows and the movies there was always a supporting character anchoring them(Phil Coulson for the movies, Claire for the Netflix shows), but they always had to have their show and make it to...

why the fuck didn't Claire get Danny and Matt Murdock together? She knows both of them and knows that both want to fight The Hand. It just makes no sense without giving some reason Matt is off the table. Given the cast of Defenders you're practically describing that. The way the producers have ...

Re: Andrew Puzder likely to withdraw nomination

The only way congress can make a President not the President (barring the swearing in and all that) is through impeachment and conviction in the Senate. They can pass 20 bills every day in both chambers declaring Donald Trump "not President" but unless President Pussygrabber signs one (wh...

Re: Andrew Puzder likely to withdraw nomination

The means is "Everyone who matters agrees that he isn't the president anymore and no one listens to his orders." Do you really think that sort of strict adherence to the letter of the law would be a concern in this incredibly out there scenario where Congress declares Trump unfit to be pr...

Re: Trump passes executive order restricting immigration, in violation of the Constitution.

Does he have business dealings in the KSA like he does in the UAE? The way Sheppard is showing it I'm not sure it matters as it appears none of the countries he has done or is doing business with are on State and DHS lists for this. Either he threaded the needle nicely, just legitimately used the I...

Re: Neil M. Gorsuch nominated for SCOTUS

Sure, but that can only last for a year. I mean making President Pussygrabber keep recess appointing jurists is its own reward since they will all be booted if a Democrat takes the office in 4 or (Allah forbid) 8 years. It's just pissing in his cereal and worth it. "...which shall expire at th...

Re: Neil M. Gorsuch nominated for SCOTUS

Get rid of the filibuster, you mean? Yes, I suppose they could do that. If so, I hope the Democrats hammer them on the hypocrisy of it. Mind you, if the filibuster weren't virtually the only tool we have left to oppose rising despotism in Congress, I'd be glad to see it go. Its a fucking bane of fu...

Re: Thanks to Trump, Scientists Are Planning to Run for Office

This will have unfortunate side-effects. We have separation of Church and State because, when the State gets to have a say in the running of the Church, the Church gets to have a say in the running of the State. Religion becomes politics, and politics becomes religion. Science is already indirectly...

Of course he does! Haven't you ever heard of the Fraternal Order of Police? The National Guard? The United States Army? Trump is already having...uhh... issues with the police. Turns out they get a lot of resources from the COPS program and that might be targeted when he starts having fun with DOJ ...

Re: Breaking: Active Shooter at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Some details are that the passerby was driving with his family to Cali, saw the suspect beating on the trooper (as in slamming the trooper's head into the pavement), stopped the car, got his gun and ordered the suspect to COMPLY. When suspect didn't comply, passerby shot suspect fatally and then us...

Re: Breaking: Active Shooter at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Amusingly enough this happened in a state that doesn't allow CCW guns into airports; but amusingly, Maryland does. A pretty moot point as anybody can follow current rules and do what he did in any state. CCW guns allowed in airports or not. He didn't exactly shoot that many rounds as he didn't brin...

He legally checked the gun, and when he arrived he picked it up and went to the bathroom and loaded it. I mean, I don't know what you're trying to say here. It wasn't like a it was a great mystery how he did it. TSA lets you travel with loaded mags, they just can't be loaded into the gun. I'm telli...

You realize that baggage is before any security checkpoints, right? When was the last time you were at an airport? So? TSA has methods for checking your gun on to your checked baggage. You follow the rules the weapon flies with you. He picked up his bag he went to the bathroom he loaded the weapon ...
