Re: DW "The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe" [SPOILERS]

I seem to fall somewhere between Evil Soup and everyone else on this. Last year's special still holds the top rank for me. This one wasn't bad per say... but there was a lot of problems with it. The 11th Doctor is goofy comedy doesn't work with me, and the start of the plot with the "doctor mad...

Re: Possible Doctor Who feature film?

Ok, everyone, we need to get our pitchforks and torches and burn the internet to the fucking ground.

If we(we as in the collective nerds of the internets) can kill a shitty Superman movie that way, we should be able to stop this.

Derek Reese getting headshotted by a Terminator of the Week in the penultimate episode of the Sarah Connor Chronicles. God damn that is probably the most shocked I've been watching a TV show. It was so sudden, so cold, and so glossed over that it just hits you like a fucking ton of bricks. And then...

Re: So the DC reboot will soon be upon us

Actually, the compressed timeline is not that unusual. I mean really this is the way it's kind of always been, but the thing is no one ever said that. Like, for example, from what I understand (I'm almost sure Geoff Johns said this himself, but don't quote me) the entire Blackest Night story arc co...

Man, how cool would it have been to explore a serious, not done in the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s, not ridiculous interaction between Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne as they start out. No, let's keep Damien. Isn't he from another fucking Earth anyway? Don't get me wrong, I like Drake and even liked Todd an...

Was I the only one yelling at the screen "HE WAITED 2000 FUCKING YEARS FOR YOUR ASS" when Old Amy was being so bitter at Rory?

An above average episode, but I think it really help solidify Amy and Rory as my favorite companions of the relaunch(though I am an odd man in that regard as I absolutely loathe Rose). Never got emotional, at least nowhere near as I did with the Doctor's Wife(but that relationship had 20 something p...

Which is weird cause I think they have actually used Ghost Nappa rather sparingly, I can only think of two times, both were great.

IIRC, that one time when the Guardians all died out (no, not when Hal became Parallax and killed them all, before that) didn't the last Guardian and Zamoran park their dying rears on earth because "Earth will spawn the next race of immortals" and choose a dozen or so humans to ascend to i...

Yes he is, and blip.tv for one reason or another is a much more friendly partner to the online video reviewer. thatguywiththeglasses.com and all its sub-reviewers use it on that website as well as their personal ones. He started using both due to fair use squabbles and this might just be the final n...

Can't add much more to what the others have said. Best Matt Smith story, possible best of the restart. There was a lot of expectation with Neil Gaiman written episode and it did not disappoint. The contained consciousness of the TARDIS in a human body was acted out perfectly, and the sentiments gett...

I personally left the franchise near the end of Zeo. This was mostly due to change in school getting out meant I wasn't at home when it aired. I remember calling Jason coming back as the Gold Ranger after Billy said he couldn't. I caught bits and pieces in the years to come, but never could get back...

Tarkus is a solid character in my book. His extra accessory slot allows him to be key to several points in a map, and meanwhile rather good jack of all trades character with a big emphasis on survivability. Add in the terminator armor and he's deadly at range and durable as hell. Surprised at all th...

Re: Choosing between FFI and FFII

I'll re-enforce the points already posted here. Final Fantasy is a solid game for a phone app, and is the jRPG at its most basic.

Final Fantasy 2 on the other had was beyond massive in its concept, far too much so at the time and really goes down more as an interesting failure than a classic game.

Not surprised about Sinestro becoming the White Lantern, I thought they were going to throw us a curve on that one, and while I did think Sinestro was a canidate, I was really hoping they would go with something weird, like Greed winning out the day. Almost thought I was going to be right on that o...

Yeah, I'm not impressed with this game. I'm still a lowly Ensign, but there's really nothing about it that's making me want to keep playing and level up. The ground combat system seems to be nothing more than pressing 1 and 2 repeatedly, and online player interaction is pretty much nil. Even away t...

Re: Dollhouse: Postscript

I actually think this was probably the best the show could of been(excluding early season 1 intervention by Fox), having to start wrapping up the show increased the pace, and helped save the show from the very dull episodic format that started to drift back into the first 4 episodes of Season 2. The...

Re: Star Trek Online preorder TRIBBLE!

As of right now, I am enjoying the playing, but not sure I'm going to spend more money on it after this beta. The game has huge flaws in it, as if they did not play the game before throwing it out to beta. For example, you can load your ship out with nothing but photo torpedo tubes. Sounds like a de...

No offense, I love your reviews and always am anxious for the next one, but the whole wiki off fell pretty flat for me. Re: powering up comic characters

I would rather see Superman with a blue ring than a green one, honestly; he has always embodied hope, to my mind, and it would be right up his alley. Now Batman with a Green Lantern Ring, on the other hand, is just plain scary . I was really dissappointed with Scarecrow not getting his Yellow Power...
