Re: Star Trek discovery triggers alt right

Yeoh's the captain? I thought Jason Isaacs was? Two ships. She's the captain of the Senzhou and he's the captain of the Discovery. and the funny thing is that Yeoh is neither the first female captain nor the first minority captain, hell both DS9 and Voyager had only 1 recognizebly white male charac...

Re: The Nazi Plan For Russia

One must wonder how much this was an influence of the germanic religion(s) on early christinity and how much of it is "homegrown", this kind obesession with purity of faith/religion and finding the "secret enemy" could also be partly left-overs from the prosecution of the early c...

check out if there's any engineering/universal consoles that give +weapon power or +weapon dmg and use those, otherwise you want to build tanky with the assumpions that all but the slowest ships will out turn you so you don't want to rely on weapons with narrow firing arcs, standard beam arrays gene...

though it could they're just up-dating their hardware, the servers have been a bit flaky recently so it could they were trying to fix that, though it's too soon to see if it worked.

Btw in case you didn't know you can dismiss ships without loosing the admirality card, I took several ships just for the cards on my AoY character and dismissed them right after I had made sure I got the admirality card. That said I kept some like the temporal dreadnaught for the ship trait.

What can we take from the season 3 finale of Rebels, in which Ezra and several Mandalorians perform a boarding action on the Interdictor? They merrily run across it's hull, as well as fly around it. Where does this fit into it? Rear echelon Interdictor, shields might be down because it wasn't expec...

I'm well aware of google, but it's not my job to look for that info, in fact it says so in the rules for obscure scifi/fantasy link , while I suspect this one was an honest mistake, there has been times in the past where people have tried to BS stuff about less known franchices so, there's rules in ...

Re: 28% of Americans Cannot Afford $10 Emergency

I think that cheap stuff is underrated - it has a massive savings potential, too. No-brands clothing can save hundreds of dollars. Exclusively wearing quality brand clothing, even with the smartest buying strategies - only through outlets on sale dates, - is hundreds of $$$ in expenses. I think the...

honestly add long hair and silly beard to the Kelvin klinks and wouldn't be that out of place in TNG, the discovery klinks on the other hand would stand out like a sore thumb and it's not like cannot do smooth headed klingons in the modern era, they did just that in the ENT augment klingon arc and t...

Wildstorm is *probably* the third biggest comic universe after the big two. It's where 'The Authority' came from, to name it's most popular/well-known title. Right now it's undergoing a reboot under the eye of Warren Ellis- which frankly looks awesome, so, yea. To establish his power level, he's me...

Re: Erdogan thugs attack people in Washington DC

Yeah though having both sides hate you equally isn't really the way to go. Finland was able to be neutral ground during the Cold War by showing respect (or at least pretending to show respect) to both sides, what Erdogan is doing is the total opposite from what I've gathered.

From what I've read most of the higher ranking nazis did more harm then good to the german war effort, mostly due to not really being in speaking terms with reality.

Re: Is it hypocritical to oppose murdering homeless people if you would not take them into their homes?

It should also be noted that most animals kept as pets are utterly incapable of surviving on their own having taken care of for most their lives, while your typical homeless person would at least theoretically be capable of taking care of themselves well enough that they're not dependent on you taki...

My point was that people might not see "funnel into the dessert" as murder but would see mining the border as that, I've stated several times with things like this, it's not about the reality of the situation but rather what image the general population has about it. Hence there's talk of ...

Even though they already try to funnel people into the worst parts of the desert for just that purpose. I think the difference is that with funneling people into dessert they can claim they're not really "trying to kill border-crosser on sight" where as with land-mines that's pretty much ...

Re: Is it hypocritical to oppose murdering homeless people if you would not take them into their homes?

no, it wouldn't be hypocritical at all, since there's multiple ways for me to support the homeles other then taking one into my home, for example, I can support plans for more affordble housing for them, I can support building and maintaining homeless shelters or and this might come as a surprice to...

Immigrate legally 100% bypassed If the US were willing to admit 1% of its population as legal immigrants every year, like we were in the late 19th and early 20th century, I strongly suspect we wouldn't have an illegal immigration issue. We didn't then, not really. But today the percentage is about ...

the problem with building a wall around Donald Trump is that it would have to be big enough to house his ego or it would just burst and a wall that's a couple parsecs per side would be quite expensive indeed. Honestly though if you were willing to accept the PR-disaster it would cause you cou...

Heroes are big into judging people on how they act when it really matters, and there she showed herself a hero. I think I'd keep her, despite the mistrust. It lets her put where she stands out in the open. As for keeping tabs on her, this a universe where Batman exists, I'm pretty sure she couldn't...
