Do we know what 2210s Starfleet uniforms looked like?

Simple enough:is there any canon or official depiction of what starfleet uniforms in the 2210s looked like (I know of Franklin uniforms from the late 22nd century and the Kelvin ones from 2230s)?

Also if there's no official or canon depictions what do you think they would look like?

Re: Should I try out Star Trek Online?

When you compare minister pussygrabber to General Chang from TUC the difference is staggering, Chang was never needlessly antagonistic towards Kirk and co (sure during the diplomatic visit he was somewhat antagonistic but no more then you'd expect from a high ranking klingon) the way he spoke and ac...

Re: Something big

yeah it's vitally important to remember that rebels are "imperial people" , the Galactic Civil War was 100% internal conflict and that's where the analogy with the Manhattan project breaks down as in a civil war loyalities aren't a clear cut as they're when dealing with an external threat,...

Re: Should I try out Star Trek Online?

So, New Kentaur. I wonder if the STO writers are going for allegory here, especially with the Kentauri versions of MSNBC and Fox News that you can access as you wander their filthy polluted ghetto full of people dying from the toxins in the air. You mean the bad guy, being so obvious parody of Dona...

Re: Let's Talk Starbases

Six. They had six torpedoes :) ok half a dozen, it's been a long time since I saw the pilot and the exact number doesn't change much, my main point was they were so short on ordanance that they made the 1939 finnish defense force seem incredibly well supplied in comparison. whether it was 6 or 12 i...

Re: Last Jedi first trailer.

Isn't David Xanatos was Gargoyles exactly a self-serving (for the most part) pragmatist and is generally considered a decent villain and honestly I fail to see how Phasma's actions in TFA could be considered treason, stupid and cowardly sure but she was under dures and something that First Order see...

Re: Let's Talk Starbases

Yorktown station (the space colony in question) was on the frontier though not in core of UFP space, so you'd expect it to have some degree of weapons and fairly powerful shields simply because you have no idea what's out there. with ESD IIRC in official sources it was said that station type had opt...

Re: Star Wars: Rebels

I can't tell if you're kidding or not, but why would Inferno Squad hang around the front entrance even after Han's team was captured and especially after the ewoks attacked. On another note, I just finished the Ahsoka novel. Like the Thrawn novel, it all takes place prior to Rebels so we learn noth...

Re: Last Jedi first trailer.

From what I've gathered the reason Phasma was under developed in TFA was that she wasn't suppose to be in it to begin with and she was inserted into the movie (because people took a liking to the look of a chromed Stormtrooper with a cape) so late in the process that there wasn't really time to rewr...

Re: Let's Talk Starbases

Honestly I suspect that "position" matters much more in how powerful a station is then any other factors, stations in important strategic location (say for example at the UFP side of the neutral zone) would probably be at least as well armed and shielded as DS9 while ones in less important...

Re: Incendiary gas as a weapon

the thing one must remember when it comes to gas weapons is that wind direction matters a lot, one of the big reasons NBC weapon bans work at all is that they're viable to be dangerous to the deployer as to the victim, so it's just more practical to not use them in most cases (obviously you got some...

Re: Imperial Rank Insignia Discussion

Honestly it doesn't surprice me at all if Pryce was overly militarist dispite her civilian background (or should I say because of it), in fact I'd suspect that clone wars veterans form the cautious and least militant faction within the imperial hierarchy, while the most militant where the ones who h...

Re: Trump Dump: Internal Policy (Thread I)

Yeah I have to agree that "damaging the reputation and character of the goverment" cannot (or at least shouldn't be) an impeachble offense in and of itself, most obviously because it's so vague that it could mean anything and is practically begging to be abused as a way to select the "...

Re: Versus Series: Ship Combat in Star Wars (Revived)

I suspect that fighter shields are like most modern combat armor, not good enough to stop a good direct hit from fighter scale weapon (the shields that is) but good enough to make poor hits or hits from weaker weapons something that the fighter could survive from.

Re: Last Jedi first trailer.

 There is nothing inherently wrong with CGI. Its either well-executed or its not. If it is, its useful. If its not, its just like any other poorly-made filmmaking. Also, the overly acrobatic lightsaber fights of the Prequels seem to be a thing of the past. That's certainly not how Kylo Ren vs...

Re: Versus Series: Ship Combat in Star Wars (Revived)

I wonder if with the TIEs it wasn't so much that they were superior to Clone Wars era fighters (or "modern" designs) but rather they were cheaper to make, I could see a senate sub-commitee or similar asking why they're spending this much resources on fighters they don't need since there's ...

Re: Any suggestions on getting creative juices flowing?

I use the "have more then one project going at a time" method, what's great about it that those projects can influence each other, you might figure out how to get past a problem you had on one project when trying to solve a problem on another.

Wasn't the full name of the K-7 station from TOS Deep Space Station K-7?

If so it was on orbit of the Sherman's system.

Re: Put together a Magical Self-Defence Kit for Muggles (RAR?).

I suspect that locations that have magical items have wards/charms to prevent unwanted visitors (at least most of the time), so getting there even if you know they exist might be an issue. Also it wouldn't surprice me at all if giving magical items to muggles was illegal in the wizarding world. EDIT...

Re: Let's Talk Starbases

I'd suspect that similar sized starbases would have shields that are about as strong as DS9 while the true giants like ESD or the even bigger one that E-D visited would have shields that would take a truly massive fleet to take down. as for weapons I think that varies according to the role. From som...

Re: Put together a Magical Self-Defence Kit for Muggles (RAR?).

A big question is that how much of those is avaible to muggles or at least all but most resourceful. IIRC the wizarding world seems to (covertly) restrict access to magical materials and items so a muggle getting his hands on actual dragon hide might be next to impossible.

What I want from this film, more than anything else, is for Luke to be... I don't know if "redeemed" is the right word. But I want Luke to get at least once chance to show what he's capable of, to be the great Jedi Master he should have been, had fate been kinder. Even if its just a last ...
