Re: Multiculturalism v Cultural Appropriation
It's a nebulous intersection of probability distributions, so wherever you draw the line is wrong in some way because there is no line. What I mean by that is this: Any thinking being has the right to determine for themselves what they find inappropriate or offensive. If they find something you do o...

Re: Best villain defeats
For my money, the best villain defeat of all time is Captain Vidal in Pan's Labyrinth.
The movie invests enough screen time in his story to establish him as competent, driven, and thoroughly evil; which makes his final scene amazingly cathartic.

I'm pretty sure Jamie's had a death-wish for a couple seasons now.
Did anyone understand what Arya asked Gendry to make?
Looked like some sort of dart thrower to me.

Wut? Drow are just your generic fantasy Elf painted black. If anything all the post-TOS Klingons look like goblinoids or orcs (and I'm hazy enough on my D&D biology that orcs may very well be a subset of goblinoids). I mostly know Drow through Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn So the blueish tin...

Re: What is your opinion on GMO foods and irradiation food treatment?
I'm fine with both. Irradiated food - if your food is cooked it's been irradiated, just with a different wavelength than what they use for sterilizing. The only reason anyone's scared of this is that "radiation" is so misrepresented in pop-culture that you might as well call it wild magic ...

Speculating here, but I bet capsaicin on food squirrels like to eat would do something about the little bastards. Birds are immune, squirrels are not. My understanding is that capsaicin evolved to make mammals avoid those fruit and select for bird dispersion; since, as you say, birds don't have the...

Total length is only 93 inches. On me it's about as long as a tie when worn Parisian style or knotted, and falls about mid thigh when just wrapped once around the neck.

Deceptions, mobilize. I think one could even think of a productive purpose for a transformer. Say, it could move as a car and then work as an industrial exoskeleton in a quarry. I think the end product would be as expensive, if not more so, than two purpose built machines, and less effective at bot...

Re: Why are mains power computer mice, keyboards and headsets very rare or non-existent?
With headphones you have low impedance and high impedance models. High impedance require an amplifier and more power to get quality sound out of, but are less susceptible to noise. Low impedance require less power to drive making them better for consumer electronics, but they also respond to any sta...

Long story short: Well worth seeing in theaters. Go see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4-6qJzeb3A Beautifully animated; every scene is masterfully done. Story could be better; a bit basic and predictable, but I suppose it is meant to to be a children's movie. It's a fine example of the Hero's J...
