So the Ishizuchi is actually good? I've seen debates on that myself.
Not that I necessarily need it right now since I've got the Murmansk and Aurora when I need to grind credits, and the former can net me 180k on a good match.

Re: World of Warships
http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s474/Solo_56/WoWS_zpse7vsigiq.png I'll admit, I'm not the best at this game. But when I get matches like this it makes me happy. Especially since the Murmansk is such a fun money maker. Too bad the match ended when it did though. I was almost in a perfect positio...

Re: World of Warships
I've heard great things about the Kongo. Might need to start grinding free XP in the Murmansk so I can jump ahead to it- even if Myogi is decent enough I have little desire to grind up through two more low-tier BBs.

Re: World of Warships
While Premium, there is also Aurora which is 1900 vintage. It's kind of the same as St. Louis though...more maneuverable, but slightly slower with the same amount of guns (IIRC) but they aren't as fast firing.
EDIT: Oh, and Mikasa is currently being tested before it's put into the game.

Re: World of Warships
...okay. New York with rangefinder+engine upgrade is a good ship. But damn is the base hull not good enough to deal with a freakin Hiryu. And that's not even touching the Nagato that was with it. That was a rough match, especially since we didn't even have a T6 BB for support.

Re: World of Warships
I liked it. A fun little ship really.
Liked the Kuma more myself. Still got it in my dock since it has a lot of fast firing guns. Furutaka though...yeah. Not a fan.

Re: World of Warships
While using the forum is always something that should be taken with a grain of salt...
Everyone seems to hate the Colorado. It's generally considered a downgrade, compared to the previous ships. I can't speak from experience there as I just started the New York though.

Re: World of Warships
Pretty much. That's exactly what happened in my first New York battle. Got stuck with nothing but a cruiser that bolted early and a Wyoming that got stomped by air-dropped torps backing me up trying to hold a flank.
Needless to say, that didn't end well.

Re: World of Warships
I got Islands of Ice a handful of times back in the CBT. One of my best Murmansk matches was there actually. Haven't gotten it since the changeover to the Open Beta though, for whatever reason.

Re: World of Warships
Yup. I typically played PvE for the most part since a brain-dead team mattered less. But once I hit T4/T5 it became frustrating getting so little XP for so many matches.
The frustration of idiots is balanced by the greater XP gain.

Re: World of Warships
Personally I love the Wyoming. Once fully upgraded you've got decent AA, it's actually fairly agile for her size, and those six turrets equal shotgun-esque hot death if you know what you're doing.
Just gotta be careful when showing your side is all.

That's possible in every PDox game...I think.
I mean, there are mods dedicated entirely to extending the end dates.

I am suddenly reminded of why I stopped WoT and prefer Coop matches. I'm getting really tired of braindead teams.

Re: World of Warships
That being said, dear lord do I loathe the Furutaka. Maybe I just miss the Kuma, but this thing just isn't doing it for me. Sucks that it takes such an ungodly amount of XP to get to the next tier (compared to the previous ones).

Re: World of Warships
I'll say this for the Wyoming...you get a full broadside on someone with AP ammo, and they're very dead if they're not higher tier BBs. One-shot a Phoenix in my last match with a single salvo, and it was at (nearly) full-health.

Re: World of Warships
Well I don't particularly need a new slot right now, and the Murmansk/Aurora are perfectly sufficient for my prem ship needs.
But free silver? Can't really say no to that.

Well now. That is interesting.
I hope it does happen. The German BB line is what I was really looking forward to. Getting it this soon would be very nice.

Re: World of Warships
I've only made it to tier 5 in the Japanese cruisers but... Tenryu is the first cruiser to get torpedoes. That alone is a major change in play style, though playing DD will get you killed quick. You do however have decent guns for your tier, so I personally liked sniping with my guns and if a carele...

Re: World of Warships
Yeah, S. Carolina sucks. Badly. Wyoming though, that thing I love tooling around in. The extra turrets, slightly better speed, and MUCH better agility sell it for me. 'Course, you'd want it fully upgraded to get that. Especially once you start seeing carriers, since the stock hull really lacks in AA.

Re: World of Warships
I'm still somewhat bad at getting citadel's myself.
But when they do happen...damn if they don't hurt. Seeing a good half- or more -an enemy's hp go down the drain in one hit never gets old.

Re: World of Warships
Personally, I'm really digging the Wyoming right now. I loved it in the CBT, and that hasn't changed much. Sure, it's slow and the guns aren't the biggest. But the armor is great for the tier it's at, the upgraded hull has at least decent AA coverage, and the six turrets make it a lot easier to get ...

Re: World of Warships
The St. Louis is a wall of fireballs. So that's good. Phoenix is 50% faster, which is amazing. But it starts only with 3 guns, but upgrades give it more (and with longer range than St. Louis) ...Wait. Historically the Brooklyn- class cruisers had five triple 6" turrets- fifteen guns. How do th...

Re: World of Warships
Can't speak on American cruisers as I haven't done that line yet.
BBs though...I'd certainly call the South Carolina a downgrade, IMO. You're slower, less maneuverable, and your guns are manned by drunken monkeys. The dispersion on those things is horrible.
