Re: The Town The Militia Took Over
Well, yeah. I'm just wondering IF they'll collapse on their own, or if external forces will be needed to cause that. I'm just speculating here.

Re: The Town The Militia Took Over
Well, here's the insane militia I was expecting to pop up. I wonder if they'll collapse due to infighting/poor leadership? It's rare for people for like Mark Kessler to be exceptionally good leaders. I guess we'll see.

I've heard about this. It sounds interesting, though I haven't seen too much about it. What's it like? I remember a friend saying it kinda reminded him of Planetside 2, but less grindy/annoying.

I've heard about it. I'm fascinated, but PayPal is being a real pain in the ass with Steam at the moment, so I'm not sure if I can grab it.

Re: Achtung Panzer Operation Star
I'd like to say thank you for starting this, CaptHawkeye. Because this looks really interesting, and I think I might go take a look at this game sometime. I mean seriously, I think the genre has a lot of potential, but for so long it's just been generic "lol our guns can't shoot past 5 feet&quo...

Re: WarZ Released, Is Blatantly Unfinished And A Bit Crap
That's not really fair. DayZ is barely a game and has little content, but the people who played it were able to experience some interesting situations before they realised the developer was an idiot. This game, by contrast, is a rip AND doesn't work AND is made by an idiot. I did think I might of b...

Re: WarZ Released, Is Blatantly Unfinished And A Bit Crap
I don't even know why people like DayZ. DayZ is quite frankly an example of what happens when people gather around a shitty game/movie/product. They'll completely fail to learn anything from criticism, because anything that suggests that their speshul game/movie/product is bad or just outright shit ...

Re: How Yellow Dawn, er I mean Red Dawn should have gone
Oh, and I forgot about that, too. Good point. I'm mostly referring to building new ships and crewing them, tanks, planes, guns... that sort of stuff. The medical research coming out of DoD part is true. I guess I'm what I'm trying to say is that the DoD budget is often excessively focused on keeping...

Re: How Yellow Dawn, er I mean Red Dawn should have gone
It amuses me that what most paranoid/crazies fail to realize is that America could cut down a large percentage of it's fleet and still be capable of fucking over everyone else. Like Aaron mentioned above, institutional experience means a lot as well, not just sheer numbers. Really, this is probably ...

There's also metals as well. Metal and some crystalline materials are excellent building blocks for life, and I wouldn't be too surprised if we eventually discover some more advanced forms of life utilizing them for their chemistry.

Tony Abbott actually said something smart for once.
I think Australia might implode some point down the line. *sarcasm, for those who's sarcasm detectors are borked*

Serves him right for helping propagate an annoying, buggy and pure shitsack of a antivirus program across the Internet.

Re: How powerful could a hard sci-fi civilization be?
Stark's quote about genociding cavemen pretty much sums up the so-called "hard sci-fi" fattynerds. They're all just a bunch of incredibly paranoid (and genocidal) dickholes. Seriously, this is why I hate Orion's Arm. The fattynerds don't want anything interesting or fun. They just want to ...

Sorry, I must of confused you. No, I'm not in the army, but I used to have a relative who served in the army. Don't remember much, I wasn't as interested in military stuff back then so I've forgotten a fair bit. But for the most part, I remember quite clearly that he told was that while the chain of...

Re: Australian soldiers do us proud
As usual, our pitiful, pitiful excuse for an army demonstrates that Australia is filled with *mostly* idiots, bigots, and racists. Sometimes a combination of all three. On the serious side, given how much crap I've seen come out of the army, I'm starting to think that we don't even actually have a f...

So Mr Bean, if I ripped your legs off and ate them in front of you, and then you donated to charity for prosthetic legs, it would be selfish, regardless of what other things might be involved, such as you wanting to donate to improve prosthetics, being in terrible pain, etc? So I'm not allowed to do...

I need the find the exact source for that, but Obama, in a book he wrote goes on and on about his father at some point, calling him the "n-word" and calling him a traitor. I don't remember the exact quote, but it's really creepy and shows that Obama displays disturbing behavior to people h...
