Point conceeded- upon careful rereading it appears I was responding to a point that was not raised. According to this Quebec is the worst of all the provinces, consuming over five and a half billion (yes where we are five and a half billion's a lot Americans) from other have provinces. Namely, Ontar...

Wrong. The province would financially collapse without federal government money pouring into it and the benefits of association with a larger nation. Which is why full sovereignty is a bad idea, yes, I know. I'll concede the point that a fully independent Quebec would not do as well as it does now ...

OMIGOD, Quebec only got $4.5 billion in equalization payments in the 2003-2004 fiscal year! Ontario and Alberta got zero , fucktard. Your whole argument is a joke. The equalization payments are not the entirety of federal government spending which goes to the provinces, so pointing out that a provi...

Equalization payments are only a small portion of the pork that gets shoveled into Quebec. Anyone who's ever worked with federal procurement knows that if you want to get a project approved, you have to make sure that most of the work is done in Quebec. A huge share of federal project spending myst...

Ah dipshit, I knew that you would semantic whore the per capita. And guess what? Ontario and Alberta does not give a flying fuck about how many people in Quebec. Even though there's more people in Quebec, we pay a lot more to them. I am well aware that Quebec has one of the most efficient provincia...

That's a terrible attitude to have when starting a relationship :P

I don't imagine I would- the psychological awkwardness would probably be a decent enough hassle to make it not worth my while.

Sorry, a note about equalization payments- while Quebec is the 5th alrgest recipient, the sum of these equalization payments do not equal the amount of money put into Canada from Quebec. In other words, even though they have been increased by 800 million dollars this year to help redress the 'fiscal...

No, I'm not Quebecois, but I'm not subject to the same violent knee-jerk reaction to Quebec separatism that most English Canadians are. Had you bothered to read your own source, you would note that Quebec's equalization payments per person are actually the lowest of any province save Saskatchewan an...

Either you have it all or you have nothing, take your pick Quebecois. Bollocks- have any evidence to support your claim that Canada would immedietly chuck out a quarter of its population without any sort of economic union with them? According to The Encyclopedia Britannica , Quebec is responsible f...

It's a brilliant political move over the short term for Harper, although it's probably not a good long-term call. While it does give the Liberals a fighting chance by preventing them from ripping themselves apart on the issue at the leadship conference, it's taken the wind right of Duceppe's sails (...

I suppose 'calling a professional' isn't an option, here? If they actually are living 'en masse' (say 5 or more) then they're going to be doing some serious damage to the house's structure which will cost more to fix in the end than an exterminator would. Rodent damage bites (no pun intended).

My buddy in our dorm just got one and have been playing it since 2 this afternoon when he woke up from camping. Thanks for the assist, but it only seems to work on movies already on my computer, as opposed to on a DVD drive. Am I missing something? Should I also find software to rip it to my computer then take screencaps?

Screenshot Software

Essentially, I'm doing a project for uni, and would like to have a slide show with still images from a film, to illustrate what I'm talking about. I have a DVD player in my computer, but thus far efforts to take screenshots in Media Player have been fruitless (even with overlays disabled). Does anyo...

My drama prof has outright failed people for having Wikipedia as a source on a paper. It's best not to cite Wiki at all if you're using links from it- unless the content of your paper was taken from Wiki directly (and dear God, I hope it wasn't), I don't believe you need to cite it.

The Henry V using soccer hooligans for British soldiers in France was a clever adaptation which made a much needed point when it was put on in the 80s. As far as things like O and She's the Man go, taking Shakespeare and seeting it in a high school (at least the comedies) is not brain surgery; subsi...
