She's just got liquid mask on the cockpit. I put a pilot in the seat. I am still debating whether to tint the canopy. Get some pics up later.

Another method is to pack a piece of low carbon steel in bone and charcoal and heat it for an extended period. It makes carbon penetrate the surface of the steel. Yep.

It is a heat treatment incorporating various chemicals that makes the surface muti colored and very hard to prevent rust. Mostly used on firearms.

Thanks bubba. I am happy to take suggestions and I like the idea of the extra panels and I have had such good feedback that they are now permanent as opposed to mocked up. I have also done some other minor mods and greeblyfyin to refine the design.
