Jupiter V
Done in the old version (no mirroring). Surprisingly works quite well.
Jupiter VI will be coming soon...

Re: ESA lifting body entry vehicle on the cusp of final appr
Could this new vehicle be the basis for a return capsule for the ATV? Assuming of course an Ariane V can lift both of them at the same time.

You might be able to get Starcraft II running on low graphics on your laptop. Might not have enough explosions though.
I'll mention the Homeworld series for completeness sake. Dawn of War and Company of Heroes are also barrels of fun and quite cheap.

Re: Greece: widespread corruption and unwillingness to refor
I'm left speechless... Doesn't the media in Greece pick up on this at all ? Looking from the outside there seems to be no party or group saying that this is just insane and has to stop. This also seems to leave the German (and all EU) government in a catch-22: Do they offer Greece more money (with/w...

Pros: Penelope Cruz >> Keira Knightley. Was still expecting Will (the Dutchman) and Lizzie to appear at some point though. Jack and Barbossa are very well portrayed. Spanish attempting to destroy the fountain instead of using it. Didn't expect that. Cons: Where is the Rum!?! NO BATTLE ON THE HIGH SE...

Seriously? In the UK a court can simply illegalize mentioning someones name in public? If so I must admit that the legislation permitting this the most bizarre and dangerous item of law I have heard of recently. The injunction does not stop you from mentioning someone's name in public only linking ...

Go for a new system every time. Since you're in the UK, if you haven't looked at Ebuyer you defiantly should. I've always been able to find what I've wanted there. If you are really strapped for cash try their outlet store, but I think you have to drive to one of their locations. Try reading as much...

Most officers don't have Tasers because there simply isn't the money around to give to everyone (let alone train them how to use them as well). That and there are still arguments about how and when (not) to use them, for example if the person has a pacemaker etc. Sorry if the tone is sarcastic, but ...

Re: Agility as defense in FPS games
Depends on the style of game. Something like ARMA or Battlefield 2 just doesn't work when firing from the hip and circle strafing. Whereas Painkiller was a complete blast because of the old-school Quake style of gameplay and excellent weapon design. The newer Call of Dutys seem to have a balance but...

And it is still nothing Germany alone cannot shoulder. Now, if France would be in trouble, then yes. Otherwise, as long as France and Germany stay intact, the EU survives. I'd assume if France was wobbling the UK would help Germany shoulder the debt. Possibly in the form of bilateral loans as in th...

Windows 7 for gaming, DirectX programming. Ubuntu for university work. Started using Linux because it was what I was taught to program on. Its much easier to do so than on Windows (even 7). Clearly you have never seen the students at my university. Aged 18-25 or so and about 30% of them are never going to amount to anything. They freely admit that and plan to have as many parties as possible before their student loan runs out. This is also my experience, but enough of them get it into...

Is this a follow up to the other docu he did on the WBC? That one was titled America's most hated family. How about League of Legends , its a free game a bit like Defence of the Ancients. Every game you play gives you experience and points to spend on new characters or runes that improve your character (Attack Speed, Mana/Health, Mana/Health Regen etc). The number of runes you can use depends on your ac...

Haven't played the latest patch (1.0.7.0 I think) which adds a new shipset. Mods really improve the game with much greater component variety and overhauling the hull size limitations. My favourite is Galactic Armoury but Expanded Universe is also quite good. LAN multiplayer is extremely fun but ther...

As Eternal says, this isn't a surprise at all.
Makes me wonder if Tories made absolutely sure that the increase in tuition fees was kept in the coalition agreement just to discredit the LibDems.

UK Alternative Vote Referendum
Just got my voting card and associated propaganda through the post for the Alternative Vote referendum but haven't decided which way I'm going to vote. I'm leaning more towards the yes camp because of the small number of (swing) seats that tip the balance of power at the moment. So what does SD.net ...
