Re: CPAC "racial tolerance" event turns ugly
Yeah, from what I understand this was not the only racial incident at the conference. A black man tried discussing race at one of the booths and ended getting screamed at by a white guy who believed race doesn't matter.

Re: Falklands referendum: Voters choose to remain UK territo
The only reason the referendum is not the real end of the issue is the nations like China and Russia do NOT want the possibility of regions gaining or changing sovereignty via a simple vote. They have too many ethnic minorities in concentrated areas for that to be an acceptable notion for them, not ...

I'm pretty sure O'Keefe will get some conservative sugar-daddy to pay his tiny little fine and he will continue on his merry way since laws only apply to little people.

Besides, you could just tack conspiracy charges to any number of those crimes. It doesn't matter if he's a private citizen if those charges show up.

I feel your pain. I've had (highest in my memory) a 5600+ damage, 4 kill loss in my E-50 before. It was fucking painful that I couldn't drag that team kicking and screaming into a win.xthetenth wrote:There is nothing better than cracking 4k damage dealt in a tier 8 and losing. Trust me.

Arty as it currently is, should not be in this game at all. It is a horrible mechanic and just makes the camo and spotting problems even worse to promote even more camping. The only real solutions are a no arty option or removal from the game, but WG will likely never do either. As for arty being he...

Re: Machine Gun Fire excersizes over American cities
I think I was right next to this whole thing. It was a simulated hostage situation inside a concert hall down here and that evening I was working next door in the main theatre of the same complex, the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. I was inside basically the entire time, but some of my co-wor...

Based on the reviews of a friend, I have been grinding the M18 Hellcat a bit. I just got the 90mm gun for it and holy hell, does it turn into a little murder machine. Threw a camo net and a rammer I had in stock from something or other in, combined with its naturally, absurdly high camo-rating and I...

Re: World of Tanks Mark 2
Yeah, the arty nerfs make little sense to a lot of people. It basically makes arty more annoying to drive, more easily killed once found, and more punishing to readjust aim on. Perhaps the HE radius nerf + aim penalty will address some of the problems but I doubt it. You can't really balance a weapo...

Perhaps knowledge of the 2 lost legions was largely restricted to only some of the Astartes to begin with, taboo amongst them and later forbidden before the Hersey, but after when the Inquisition starts going full swing they start axing entire branches of knowledge out of the collective memory. IIRC...

M4 Sherman with the 105 heat gun is one of the most OP tanks in the game right now, if you use all gold rounds. Its only real contender for that title is the SU-26 which is just insane for a tier 3 arty.

Anyone else seen a weird increase in shells getting eaten by tracks? Both my T34 and E50 had multiple shells just disappear into tracks yesterday. The E50 I can almost understand as I was sniping at long range at an E75 that was broadside to me, but the T34 was much closer to its target and still ma...

Do we know they weren't niformed of death threats? Or was there a specific threat? Did it go beyond some group saying "We should kill their leaders with sniper fire" to "I'm going to target person X for assassination!"? The article stated that no one who was targeted was informe...

Link and even threats of the assassination of OWS leaders by sniper fire – by whom? Where? – now remain redacted and undisclosed to those American citizens in danger, contrary to standard FBI practice to inform the person concerned when there is a threat against a political leader (p61). As Mara Ve...

Unless something has changed in 40K lore since last time I was involved, Khorne is far more then merely a human created warp god and predates humanity considerably. Furthermore, during the Fall of the Eldar, both Slaanesh (who killed/consumed the other Eldar gods) and Khorne struggled over which wou...

IIRC, from some of the articles on the NRA speech (I've read a number) the rough napkin math of putting even one armed, professional security officer in each school in the country means we would need around 100,000 personal. Even if there were that many people up and ready to go, that's a lot of bac...

Well, the time has finally come for The Great Arty Nerf of 2013 and there was much rejoicing. So far it looks like a cap on the number of arty per game, adding new mid-tier arty while re-tiering some so that the arty lines go up to tier 10, and a nerf to arty in general. No real details so far on nu...
