UK showing just ended. What did you think of this episode?

Is it just me or was there a major Warhammer 40,000 vibe in this episode? I mean with the planet destruction device and the venerated space emperor I was getting a pretty big feel for it.

I read the book a couple of times a looong time ago.

I know some of the basic plot, but I don't remember a post-apocalyptic future.

I think the premise with the glass clock was that it was supposed to be sort of "like" a digital or atomic clock in its extreme precision, hence the need for outright magical components given the context of technology on the Discworld. IIRC it was meant to measure the Discworld equivalent...
