Re: Car repairs
Looks like you did a good job with that repair. And rust issues make me glad I live in Australia where it almost never snows and even when it does in my state, we still don't salt the roads (Happens once a year and from my understanding is more like sleet then snow, and is normally gone by midday). ...

Re: Infrastructure (Original and Illustrated)
I really enjoy your world building. It's interesting seeing a high tech group dropped into a low tech magic setting. Seeing them build up the local technology and jump starting what they can off their own tech.

I'm in a LARP club that uses Discord to organise stuff and hold meetings. It's a damn useful service.

I miss a lot of the Fanfic peeps. There are some awesome stories in there and it is a shame some of them are unlikely to be finished.

The only thing missing at this point is ONI and SpecWar sending in stealth Prowlers in ahead of time to teleport insert Spartan 2s & 3s to find and disable defences and hidden nukes.

Fair enough. I suspect 343 had fleshed out the brute faction a bit more in the latest books and for the new game. It'll be interesting to see how they compare to what you've created.

Re: The 13th Tribe Book II: A Symphony of War
The brutes do have landing craft. They also use drop pods. Though I think brutes mostly use the large one that's capable of slipspace jumps, which can tow a pair of Phantoms iirc.
Great chapter and I can't wait for High Charity to arrive.

Well the UNSC still have a big bomb left that they were saying for High Charity from memory. Though I'm kinda hoping the good guys will activate the key ship at high charities heart.

I think if you emphasised that it would seem more that the ship had a reputation, rather just being the newest in the fleet. How I'd read it anyway.

Re: The 13th Tribe: The Burning of Picon
Great chapter. I look forward to seeing these characters interact. I like the young crewman and is gonna be a shame to see him pass. Only error I spotted was a missing word. "He was going to see the stars; all he had to do was get over the creeping anxiety of being around so many strangers."

Re: The 13th Tribe Book II: A Symphony of War
It occurs to me that, with the combined tech on hand, Iron Man level power armor isn't out of the question. Mjolnir armour requires the genetic engineering just to survive wearing it. Scary thought, if a Gou'ald took a Spartan as a host and still had the armour. Or Spartans that have been Jaffa-ised.

Re: The High Price of Insulin Is Killing US Citizens
From what I've heard it's getting more expensive in Australia. Sure insulin prices are kept down by the government, but the cost of other related equipment is rising. Testing strips and needles aren't free even from the charity that specialises in providing it for diabetics. Our government seem set ...
