Re: Andrew Puzder likely to withdraw nomination
Is impeachment something that can only be done to a president? Because if it can be done to any of those offices mentioned, then I'm reading that as "any of these people who are impeached and convicted for <stuff> will get the boot" rather than "if one of these people is impeached and...

Re: "Skin Game" Discussion (Dresden Files novel - Spoilers!)
Because I literally cannot believe that Butcher will let that good of an opportunity for Star Wars references pass. I mean I was already pretty sure he wasn't dead, but thus clinches it. Except... Caith Sith has nothing to do with Star Wars, and that "Sith" is pronounced closer to "S...

Re: World of Tanks Mark III
So this match was a massive surprise that I wasn't even sure was happening even as it happened: http://s30.postimg.org/ckvu25efl/shot_001.jpg Especially shocking since my survival rate is an astounding 15.25%, and my average kills per match is... uh... 0.59. Oh, and my win rate is 50.1%. (I might be...

Re: Warframe: Free to Play Third Person Coops Bizniz.
On the development front, the materials cost for the Dojo is staggering. Just building connecting rooms can take days of farming for small guilds, not to mention the ridiculous amounts of Forma that is needed (an exceedingly rare drop that's needed in amounts that almost certainly require your guil...

Yeah, Grineer Commanders will teleport you about the place. I'm not sure if they swap place with you or just move you elsewhere, but it's definitely them doing it. Confused the hell out of me first few times it happened to me.

What do you mean what? Minus 280 degrees is warmer then minus 370 degrees, no matter what units you use. Irbis appears to be referring to how those temperature measurements are in Farenheit, since unless I'm misremembering, absolute zero is -273 degrees C. He's also probably referring to that Mars ...

Re: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut [Spoilers]
I more mean shit like the dumbass point defence cannon things. Codex lays out pretty plainly that point defences in ME universe are lasers, and work close-in. Ranged combat is with the larger, usually spinal mounted, main guns. Not some weirdass little turreted things.

Re: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut [Spoilers]
The trouble is that this doesn't jive with what we're shown in the game. Reaper destroyers turn out not to be all that difficult to destroy. The one on Rannoch is killed by what look like point defence weapons (they're clearly not of high yield because Shepard is standing mere metres from their imp...

Well, forgive me if the trailers actually promised something...a tad bit more heroic :) Tut tut. You should no better than to trust a trailer :P Yes, they were both destroyers, and my entire point was that the first one was kinda weakass while the other one took a massive pounding. The Quarian ship...

Re: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut [Spoilers]
Pfft, they're only that tough because writers decided they were. The story would've worked if they were merely really really tough but beatable with enough grit and determination. And you know, I always got the vibe that the writers themselves were kinda unsure if the Reapers were nigh-unbeatable o...

Re: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut [Spoilers]
Well, characters despairing over having no chance for victory is a cliche in drama, and it usually ends with the hero rallying them, giving them hope and leading them to victory against overwhelming odds thanks to his heroic and inspiring personality. Really, is it any wonder why everyone expected ...

Re: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut [Spoilers]
I know it does SOMETHING, it's just that this something is ridiculous and disconnected from all but the most contrived logic. True, the whole warscore thing could definitely have been better implemented. Or maybe just left out and pick a more logical metric for measuring how poorly/well you did on ...

Re: Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut [Spoilers]
See, what i don't get about people wanting the Refuse ending to allow conventional victory is that THE ENTIRE GAME revolves around "we cannot beat the Reapers conventionally. All we can do is buy time for the Crucible to be built, and hope it works". Probably because it would make the &qu...

Yeah, Hell mode is a massive ramp-up from Normal/Nightmare. My DH got through normal easily, had some trouble with NM but got through it solo eventually... and then got his ass utterly handed to him by pretty much anything he came across from the first trip into the Cathedral onwards.

This is getting somewhat ridiculous now - the game has been out for a little over a week, and I swear to god most of that has been downtime. EU servers just went down again without any warning. I wasn't against the whole server idea, needing a connection constantly, but it's getting very annoying -...

I got a legendary mace called Odyn's Son in Act IV on Normal, so it was absolutely terrible, not even worth auctioning. didn't find any o my nightmare playthrough, and have never seen any smithing plans either.

I've not been able to try it yet as my PC is broken and won't run any games newer then DOW, but as a rule of thumb, if you expect all your games to have some new and revolutionary feature or something like that, Blizzard games aren't really for you as they rarely if ever have those but what they do...

I'm still trying to decide whether Da'kir and Tsu'gan killing each other after saving Nocturne was brilliance or a cop-out. Tsu'gan didn't die, though. He survived at least up until crashing the Marines Malevolent thunderhawk into that station's landing pad. Edit: didn't die by Da'kir's hand, I mean.

Re: Bin Laden Raid Use Of "Geronimo" Inappropriate?
As I understand it, 'Geronimo' wasn't the intelligence code word for Bin Laden, but rather the code word for 'We killed Bin Laden'. So it seems to be the war cry format. The fact that both were longtime enemies of the US and were hunted/tracked is unfortunate. Fair enough. It seems fairly ambiguous...

Re: Bin Laden Raid Use Of "Geronimo" Inappropriate?
Well, going by this their problem isn't that Geronimo was used as a war cry, it's that it was used as the codename for OBL.After bin Laden was killed, the military sent a message back to the White House: "Geronimo EKIA" — enemy killed in action.

Rumors so far suggest he was killed by troops on the ground, which would make it way easier to explain how they could ever confirm he was killed. We can officially declare victory in the first campaign of the war on terror now. The glorious murderfest accomplished something. The news I'm watching i...
