Re: Be Careful What You Wish For (Nalifan)

"I ask you mighty Suyerric, who has bound you?" "That is clever elf. He did not think to forbid me to talk about him. The withered man, older than any other of their wizards. The one malice and sorcery keep alive." "I have magic enough to see him," Nalifan replied from...

Re: Be Careful What You Wish For (Nalifan)

Ah, nice to see the regicide plotline getting some attention. What has the prince been up to lately, I don't recall seeing him since the first battle?

Re: Be Careful What You Wish For (Nalifan)

Regardless of what spell he uses, the Carnivora is a really powerful mofo with a record of returning from the dead. Nal's smart enough to prevent it from happening again. On a related note, he's really taken a toll on the magic-users of the Horde. The last few updates give the impression that the Ki...

Re: Be Careful What You Wish For (Nalifan)

Going back a couple updates (I didn't realize I had so much to catch up on :D ) how much control or care does the King of All Cats have over his subordinates? Because the Khan of All Tigers killed an army for Nal in Whirlwind after the burning of Westgate. Is the Khan in the doghouse ( )or is ...

Re: Hull 721, plot arc the second

I echo the approval of your multifaceted Vader. He did seem just a little too forthcoming at the end, though. 'As has everyone else in this ridiculous business. When there is time I will correct their existence, but the destruction of the Alliance and the capture of Skywalker come first.' I can't re...

Re: Hull 721, plot arc the second

I can kinda see it, but the comparison doesn't really hold up, IMHO. The Skipray is more of a gunship, with large magazines for its missiles and torpedoes and three heavy-duty ion cannon as its primary offensive weapons. It has a twin laser turret that always struck me as serving more of a PD role. ...

Re: Hull 721, plot arc the second

Great stuff, I love the banter with the senior divisional officers and Guns taking dynamite fishing to new and ridiculous extremes.

Re: Hull 721, plot arc the second

I have to wonder what their options are. The Empire and the Rebellion are really the only entities with the ability to support an ISD on continuous operations, and the Rebellion would be fools to accept them. Maybe they can use their renegade-hunting status and the data that Raesene to purge some of...

Re: Where do all the warships go?

D'oh, I forgot about the Dreadnoughts. A series of new warships, a "rennovation" of the Empire military to discard the image of the Republic Venators that went into battle with the Jedi could also explain why the warships did go into retirement/rear area service. I hadn't thought about tha...

Where do all the warships go?

It's apparent that the galaxy is a pretty violent place. In the 63 years between 22BBY and 41ABY we have four galaxy-spanning wars: the Clone Wars, the Galactic Civil War (Empire vs. Rebellion/New Republic), the Yuuzhan Vong War/invasion, and the Second Galactic Civil War (GFFA vs. Corellia & co...

Re: Hull 721, plot arc the second

Poor Pel, every time he goes to a restaurant he gets into some manner of trouble.

I do feel kinda bad for those ISB guys that got roped into doing something outside their job descriptions and way over their heads anyways, then wasted. Guess they should have chosen a better branch of the service.

Re: Be Careful What You Wish For (Nalifan)

And so it begins  . I have a hard time believing that Nal can't pick out where the King of Tribes and Krazad are, they're probably throwing off magical auras like nobody's business, and I don't see them as the type to hide from a powerful foe. A couple of dropped letters: She took of his sw...

Re: Because this made my day...

Ouch, punching Vader in the face seems like a recipe for broken fingers (and crushed a crushed windpipe, but I digress).
