Re: New, Clean Edition Of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin
A couple quotes from The Daily Show's Black Correspondent, Larry Wilmore: Nigger is dehumanizing. Slave is just a Job Title. He goes on to add Jim wasn't a slave anymore, he'd run away. But the point was he couldn't run from being a nigger. I've yet to hear the topic put so well, so succently. Unfo...

He's pretty good in The Town and gets a bit more screentime. And those two weren't even his last movies.FaxModem1 wrote:He played the only character I cared about in the Lost World. Shame that he died, I was hoping to see him in more stuff after I saw Inception.

Re: New, Clean Edition Of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin
It's supposedly a letter to Don Dickinson, head of the Brooklyn library. The correspondence followed a 1905 ban on the book from the children's section of the library. Linky linky! Interesting. However interesting it is though, the previous page in the preview you give me Gandalf has the passage th...

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Guild Wars 2 Granted, both of those haven't been confirmed for a 2011 release yet. This isn't going to be an active year for me playing the newest releases week after week, I'll just catch up on whatever I missed out on last year if I get bored. I still have a backlog ...

Re: New, Clean Edition Of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin
What happens now when some kid in school brings his own copy to school and reads nigger instead of slave, or Injun instead of Indian? Does he get punished for reading the book correctly and as it was meant to be written? Also, why should we even try to hide the word nigger from people, because it h...

Re: New, Clean Edition Of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Fin
Not to mention how uncomfortable it is in the classroom when the teacher insists that the students read Huck Finn out loud. Regardless, I can't say this is ruining it, people still know what words they really mean, its just done to relieve some tension I guess. I mean, its been a long time since tho...

Re: Movies that didn't suck, even you thought they would
"2012", I really thought it would blow because it would over hype the whole end of the world; which it did, but I like how they did it, and the story wasn't as bad I thought. "Live Free or Die Hard", I thought the latest Die Hard movie was really going to suck, but overall I was...

I'll also mention Easy A. It was a little rough around the edges with its premise, but it was a refreshing good time in teen comedy genre.

Re: Wiiware/Xbox Arcade/PSN game recommendations.
Wow, that is kind of douchey on Nintendo's part.
I wast just under the impression that it wasn't that limiting for developers given that some a few games were released on all 3 consoles like MegaMan, Tales of Monkey Island, Sonic 4 and a few others. My mistake.

There are explanations other than THEY WERE BRIBED, dude. Like... the Wii is a cunt with limited tools and couldn't run Limbo anyway? Do you think SOMEONE CHEATED!! every time a game isn't out on Wii? Talk about denial of reality. Let's all forget the PS3 exists, that was my main point douche. PS, ...

Re: Wiiware/Xbox Arcade/PSN game recommendations.
There is nothing lamer than people being offended that developers don't serve their platform; especially when their platform is the most limited one. People get offended when their platform seems unnecessarily unserved. For example, I'd like to play Limbo, but its an Xbox exclusive, no complaints, ...

Your grimdark comment reminded me that Michelle Rodriguez died in F&F. :( Michelle Rodriguez has like a 75% chance of dying in any given movie she's in, so that's no surprise. Have a very nice day. -fgalkin Those odds are still better than Leo DiCaprio's. Though I did like that in his last movi...

The game isn't perfect, but it has flat out done things that I have never seen before in a game, or a movie for that matter. Like . . . what? Because I'm having a hard time thinking of anything in UC2 that hasn't been done before by at least half a dozen games. Going in and out of a train seamlessl...

Re: Wiiware/Xbox Arcade/PSN game recommendations.
I had absolutely no issue with World of Goo because of the controls. The thing was so responsive I was wondering if the game incorporated motion plus since I always have mine attached.
Seriously, one little move to G&C, this is getting a little embarrassing.
