Re: General Police Abuse Thread

You're suggesting Collective Punishment then? What the fuck are you talking about? Even the cases where debt collectors go after anyone with any kind of relation to a debtor isn't in the realm of what you're talking about. Nor can you claim the man who fired you for drinking on the job is somehow r...

Re: General Police Abuse Thread

Tack on something where EVERYONE suffers (besides just the victim and the tax payers) when bad eggs go bad-er and you'd see this "blue line" bullshit evaporate fast. Because covering for bad cops doesn't cost you anything right now and in fact is dangerous to your police career and maybe ...

Re: Transformers: The Last Knight

It seems insane to me that the studio that owns the rights to Star Trek, Ninja Turtles, and Transformers could be having money trouble. I mean just having Trek should be netting them alot of money. Though I suppose they haven't been fully exploiting the property, for better or worse. Beyond and Out...

Rogue One was well received despite the reshoots. Hopefully this will go the same way. Though it seems very late in the game to switch horses.

Never been sold on the film though.

How long do they get to push back or lose votes like the Queen's speech before the government goes? Or does May voluntarily have to go to the Queen to dissolve parliment?

Re: Harry Potter and the Prime Minister's Plan.

Just read the last chapter. (and holy shit guys, two pages of unrelated discussion?) Which was good. I was amused at Tonk's thought: "She wasn't sure when she had begun to have feelings for Remus Lupin, much less why" I was never a fan of that ship, anyway. Bond seems to be drawing sensibl...

So I watched it again. Knowing the twist, the General Amazon's dying words on the beach took on another meaning. And it remained a decent watch. As to the barrier, I definitely caught that ship was capsizing this time. And I noticed that Trevor's plane didn't seem to take any damage in it's escape f...

When it looked like Mack would have drowned, I wasn't exactly sympathetic since it would have been his own damn fault for putting himself in that situation in the first place. Yo-yo didn't get that particular memo, going in without the slightest clue about the shitstorm that awaited her. Ch...

Van Hits Mosque Crowd In London

A man has died and 10 people have been injured after a man drove a van into worshippers near a north London mosque. The van struck people after mounting the pavement just after midnight BST outside Muslim Welfare House, near Finsbury Park Mosque. A 48-year-old man has been arrested. Home Secretary ...

I actually hope they hang on long enough to get the rap for Brexit negotiations being shit.

Also it's still not going to be a coalition. It's a Tory Minority Government with propping up on certain votes from the DUP.

Liberal Dempcrat Leadership Contest 2017.

Bit of a surprise really. Tim Farron has said he is to step down as leader of the Liberal Democrats, less than a week after the election. In a statement, he said he was "torn between living as a faithful Christian and serving as a political leader". He said he should have dealt "more ...

The Scene in question.

Those torpedo detonations are extremely close to the warbirds. The also locations them with sensors before firing on them. Albeit the other officer doesn't recognise them as such.

I keep missing it on Telly for various reasons. But episode 20 aired on Sunday. Seen up to 19 I think. (The first one with Bakshi) It's really good and they seem to be having a ton of fun bringing back every character they ever killed.

More like 15. 6 of TNG, 1 of TNG/DS9 parallel, 1 of DS9, 6 of DS9/VOY parallel, 1 of VOY. Think there were only a very few episodes of DS9 that went out solo. It certainly wasn't an entire season. Also it's two years of TNG/Ds9 parallel. The Crossover Birthright is series 6 TNG/ series 1 Ds9 eta: A...

I'm reasonably sure you would have to prove they did so out some sort of malice and deception about the benefits of the euro to prosecute them. Rather than just them being wrong about it being a good idea.

Assuming 1 season = 1 year. It's 14 years as in RL. 7 of TNG, 7 of Voyager with DS9 running concurrently.
