This has been widely reported on here in Washington State too as the problem doesn't stop at the border.

Once again, who exactly is telling you this?

Re: US Navy Seal on trial for war crimes.

Too many commitments (many of which is vital in not turning the world into a pre-Great War Fallout quagmire), too little personnel and equipment, shit like this is basically inevitable... or so I've heard. Who told you this? I use to be in a high demand low density combat unit and it never occurred...

Re: Far right claims shooting victims are “Fake Crisis Actors”

Even before Sandy Hook there were the 9/11 conspiracies, and before that Pearl Harbor conspiracies, and before that probably many more that have been lost to obscurity. People are and have always been stupid. And a lot of them own guns.

Among many other problems with that idea, I'd like to point out that Nikolas Cruz was a JROTC cadet.

Re: Nikolas Cruz 'remorseful' as police report claims he confessed to Florida school shooting massacre

I'm sure from the gun advocates' perspective the solution is to arm all the staff. There was an armed officer on campus during the shooting. He chickened out and didn't engage. The fact of the matter is that most of us would have done the same, or would have been ineffective even if we did. https:/...

Re: Retirement contibutions

I have not maxed out my 401k. Yearly contribution is $18,000, I put more into it beyond my employers match. I have heard competing advice on matching percentage wise on 401k vs maxing it out. I have considered it. Well matching is a no brainer as that's free money. I would max out your 401k and IRA...

Re: Retirement contibutions

My advice: You have an emergency fund correct? If not, that is your first priority. Max out your 401k contributions. Whether to do Roth or transitional depends on your current tax bracket and how it compares to what bracket you think you'll be in at retirement. With all your retirement funds, may su...

Re: Concerned about flight, advice??

UPS6 was brought down by a lithium ion battery fire. Though in that case it was a large quantity of them packed as cargo. I doubt there would be any fire suppression on the 787 batteries, or on any batteries on any other aircraft. The AD issued added a more protective casing and ducting to contain a...

Re: Concerned about flight, advice??

I have to wonder, how well can a commercial twinjet fly after losing one engine? You can lose an engine on the runway during your takeoff run and still climb out safely. I'm assuming it can be done, of course, but I'd assume the chances of a safe landing would be smaller than a quadjet like the 747...

Seeking to prove that a conspiracy of astronauts fabricated the shape of the Earth, a California man intends to launch himself 1,800 feet high on Saturday in a rocket he built from scrap metal.
Not going to see much at 1800 feet.

As for "sensitives", I would wager that the issue is psychological. People who work a lot through cellphones and/or wifi internet and have a lot of stressful work from it. They associate those things with stress and thus feel awful. When those things are away, they can't be stressed by th...

It has been such a success that the dolls are booked around 12 times a day, costing €80 (£71) per hour.
