I went round to see to Johns family today, took flowers and paid my condolances. Firstly, I would like to say that John's death was a tragic accident (or misadventure as the coroner put it), also that John's family are grateful for the memorial silence being held at the con. Not really sure what els...

The loss of a great friend

It is with a heavy heart a tear streaked face that I must bring this news. Today John Healey (aka CmdrSweevo) passed away. I know he loved this forum and the conversations held upon it. I'm not sure what else to say in this note, but I thought the few of you he touched and built up a relationship wo...

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that's more like it!) The human hear...

BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE has all the figures in there...and I recollect hearing about Finland owning the most guns per captia. However it was mathamatically calculated with the current population and size of land etc...I believe.

I'm sorry but this movie took a GREAT premise and shat all over it by the last reel. What was so wrong with the last bit? I loved it. Signs is one of the best movies I saw at the cinema last year, it was still as good (if even better due to thinking on it) when I saw it on a plane and I liked it ju...

You know, it's funny. One person put "From Dusk 'Till Dawn" on their favorites list. That movie probably tops my "worst of" movies list. I don't blame you in the least! :) But personally, I liked Dusk t'ill Dawn (mindless Vampire action + Salma? Bonus). I don't mind cheesy actio...

I liked Luhrmann's R&J. Could've been a little more faithful to the original drama, though. But every interpretation of R&J wether it's on stage or film is interpritation, so where it was indeed faithfull (ok not so much for you) it was still how Baz saw it, and if you see plays on R&J ...

Re: Less Fruit Juice, with More Preservatives!

But for an afterlife you'd have to be dead, in which case you wouldnt be living forever you'd be dead and therefore have no choice...and re-incarnation still doesnt allow you to live forever, well not in the sense I took the question to be. When someone said 'if you could live forever' I assumed, a...

Re: Less Fruit Juice, with More Preservatives!

Coulpe of things I was wondering. Firstly - when I was asked the question ''If you could live forever, where would you live?'' I replied ''in my own head'', but I was wondering about you guys and gals on the board...where would you live? I answered a very similar question in the Living forever thre...
