Re: Game of Thrones Season 5 (TV ONLY)
The most terrifying thing about the Sparrows is that they destroy all that wine. What the hell are the people drinking, water? You can smell the shit in kings landing from miles away, they'll die of dysentery before the first snows!

Well, the clerics aren't important, if what Durkula was saying is true.. I think the plan is to make Roy detour into the Dwarven Lands. Not sure why, other than to give Durkula a chance to strike at the Hight Priest of Thor.

Re: Battlefleet Gothic: Armada
My first thought was "Oh look, another game that gets the scale of 40k all wrong"
Those windows are fucking massive, as 40k ships are kilometers long.
That said, it's very pretty, and yes, BFG was a game just waiting to happen!

Also BW is captured by Ultron at one point in the film and rescued by Banner. The fact that she stole The Vision & led the avengers to Ultron even while captured seems to escape these morons That's her thing. She pretends vulnerability and then exploits. Like how Loki used her girlish love for ...

Also, the scene with Jon Snow writing the Boltons for help was idiotic. I mean, he JUST had a conversation with Stannis about how he was days away from marching south to conquer Winterfell, so why bother dealing with the Boltons at all right now? Yes, the Night's Watch needs men, but just wait for ...

I know Cersei isn't supposed to be as clever as she thinks she is, but I really wanted to shake her by the lapels this episode. You just drew a sword you can't wield to strike at your only allies! Once the Sparrows, like most religious fanatics, are released I can't see the collar going back on any ...

Re: Warhammer: Total War Trailer
I suspect Warhammer was an easy pick for a TW game though as it's already got assloads of different units and factions and all the balance and what not has been worked out. Minimal re-jiggering is needed to make the mechanics work in a video-game format. The hard decision is deciding *which* factio...

Yeah, about as good an end as Crystal could have expected, and a nice nod to Terminator 2 as well. A solid wrap up to the Thieves Guild here, I imagine Hank's response will be "My boss and his right-hand golem are dead? Oh nooooo. Have we got my new headed notepaper in yet?"

Now Sansa I don't get. Is she thinking that Brienne is going to save her? Or that by marrying Bolton, she can get them to bump off Littlefinger (Bolton looked like he wanted to shiv the fucker aleady)? Did she bring her necklace of poison with her, hoping to take out the Boltons and Littlefinger Ha...

I'll wait to see some gameplay features. I was so disappointed by Rome 2 that I'm going to be treating this with buckets of skepticism.

The Book of Exalted Deeds straight up says that using poison is inherently evil. Which is as far as I know the most canonical source on the subject as of 3.5 D&D. I can't comment on this but I remember reading on one sourcebook that poison is illegal because there is no possible way to use it i...

Instead, the rules raise the possibility that a paladin can fall for committing an evil act... but still be Lawful Good. Now, there might be a single action so heinous that committing it makes you automatically Evil (or at least non-Good) no matter why you did it. The question is, what is that acti...

And the introduction to some recurring characters too!Arguably, the sheer rollicking fun-ness of those first two novels is the best introduction to the Discworld a reader could ask for.
I'm very interested in reading this thread - I love vicariously rediscovering things! Keep it up!

you've got a stun gun to incapacitate baddies Wait, what ? Why Mark Strong? I mean, he's great, but he's already Brother-Captain Titus. Relatively well known actor willing to work on 40k, I'd imagine. They've had Leslie Phillips, Brian Blessed, John Hurt all in their games and horrifically misused ...

Ghazgkull in Octarius? Tau third sphere expansion? Mass necron awakening? Golden throne failing and Astronomico...

I picked up a book today called Half a King , about a disabled young prince, studying to be a priest/healer suddenly has kingship of a pseudo-viking people thrust upon him. It's got a strong scent of Tyrion Lannister on it, but I'm quite enjoying it so far. It earned a lot of marks for what it hasn'...
