Re: The Principality of SD.net (RAR!)
There seems to be a bit of confusion as to the location of where the Principality of SDN net actually is. In Gundam canon Side 3 is actually on Earth-Moon L2: https://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/gundam/images/1/12/UC_spacemap2.gif/revision/latest?cb=20110612233424 Given Zor seems to be trying to ma...

It updated just this weekend in fact, typically two to three updates a week, depending on various factors.
There's even a physical book of the first couple of chapters if you prefer your comics in print media too.

Re: The depressing video game music awards!!!
I don't know if it counts as game music, but the Adagio of Strings used in Homeworld stands out for me.
Though it's use first mission manages to be hopeful and optimistic, it then dips into horrible depression on your return and then maybe back up to hope for the final mission

Re: (RAR!) You are aboard the Poseidon
From what I remember, the heroes flooded the ballast tanks so they could swim through them, and it was only after that point that the main ballroom got flooded. I always took away from it that the heroes wound up inadvertently killing the rest of the survivors with their escape attempt. Also don't w...

So, what does everyone here think of them? As war machines? As tools? Ahhh Mobile Suits, how I do so love thee. Of course from a realism standpoint they're terrible, add nothing that a more traditional plane, tank or VTOL style vehicle could do and require one hell of a lot of justifying to make se...

I'm surprised and slightly disappointed there isn't already a fanfic based on this scenario yet. I am a patient man, however. I can wait. I knoowww! I've been trying to get people to do this for days. I mean, I have some stuff written up, but it is more 'ideas for a collection of scenes and interac...

Bonus Question: Assuming the Independence Day ship isn't immediately blown apart, which ship do you think could hack it the quickest? I assume most of the ships here have post-1990s MacBook technology. My bet would be on the nBSG Cylons, they have a habit of starting engagements by trying to hack t...

Re: Where in the Multiverse Would You Build an Empire?
The beast IIRC infect ships by virtue of infecting the entire crew and than merging them with the ship it self in a sort of alienesque goop. So no organic crew means no infestation. The Beast repurposes any organic matter or technology in order to serve its own needs, the simple fact is the crew ma...

Re: Where in the Multiverse Would You Build an Empire?
Y'know, it always annoys me that "Still using mass drivers" is considered a point of weakness, kinetic weapons are not to be sniffed at, and from what we know they require much less power and are presumably more robust then energy weapons, at least this is my assumption based off reality. ...

Why stop there? With Rome we had LIMITLESS AMBITION, and that led to one heck of a good time, so why not see just how much we can take over? I mean that should be nice and challenging for Thanas too, which as we know leads to much more fun.

Have you considered the sheer size, in terms of assets, code and production that a game you describe would require Purple? It's all well and good to say you should have a game that perfectly replicates a galaxy spanning empire down to the individual citizen, but it's just flat out impossible with wh...

I guess once they're gone the only thing left to do would be to get some revenge against the Eastsaxe colonies at last? Perhaps luckily they didn't remaster Cataclysm in this re-release because they lost the source code I believe.

Generally I found that it was hard to support lots of cities to start with, but once you start getting to the tier 3 culture things/a decent stock of health upgrades, you can by the late game support just about as many cities as you feel like founding, I ran out of room well before I ran out of happ...

It's to make the sides more distinct, the Empire gets one big capital, but that puts all their eggs in one basket, the rebel side is meant to use cunning and tricks vs the Imperial raw brute power and so on.
Also depends on what the scenarios and victory conditions are a bit doesn't it?
