Re: Teaser for Season 5 of The Clone Wars.
Looking back, most of the actual "something happens" episodes seem concentrated in the first few seasons. After that, filler and side stories seems to creep in a lot more. And yes, we see more Vader moments later on from Anakin, and some heroic banter though Obi-Wan and Anakin seem about a...

Re: Imperial armour: Siege of Vraks analysis
You forgot the Alpha Legion. One gets the real feeling that Guilliman is trying hard to be the only sane man in an Imperium that was already pretty fucked up and dysfunctional even before the Heresy.

Re: Imperial armour: Siege of Vraks analysis
Given all those facts, it stands to reason that a fair chunk of the Imperium (at least if you hold to the 'one million worlds and not a world more' belief.) is made up of Ultramarines, quite possibly the majority, and that each of those worlds is, to some degree or another, a reflection of Ultramar...

You want group fiction set in that era? Try the Vast Empire. Thrawn is Thrawn, the Republic is the Republic, and Dark Empire never happened.

Re: Mass Effect Reapers VS Star Wars Empire/Rebels
The Reavers win, hands down. Malcom Reynolds is afraid of Reavers. Captain Malcom Reynolds is superior to Commander Shepard, as he's a Captain and Shepard is just a Commander. Plus, he's played by Nathan Fillion. As Commander Shepard wins against the Reapers, hands-down, Malcom Reynolds must also wi...

Re: Modern Earth vs Chaos Daemons
Humanity loses. Why? Corruption. In the background, Chaos isn't a danger because of military strength or lolwarppowers, it's dangerous because you can't reliably stop it from converting people from under you.

Re: Necron 5th edition codex (SPOILERS)
History isn't the problem. The humanization of the entire Necron race is the problem. The codex should have placed a greater emphasis on the "culling" of inferior species being the norm for Necrons, instead of focusing on the honourable ones. They've definitely lost a lot of their feel wit...

Re: Gaunt's Ghosts - Salvation's Reach (Lots of Spoilers)
I'm still baffled by why Gaunt hasn't been shot for radicalism, and an alleged Chaotic defector didn't result in a quick purging with flamers. Seems a lot of the Crusade's members are going more than a little Radical.

Very interesting, and more or less canon compliant. Here's to more about your take on the Missing Legion, and fleshing out their organization and character.

Re: Dawn of War series analysis thread
Incidentally, Goto gets a lot of things wrong, canon-wise. Toth wielding a daemonhammer and yet being of the Ordos Xenos, the infamous multilasers... (and hellguns firing bullets?!) In specific cases, DOW II goes out of its way to disregard his novels in favour of the game's canon. Doesn't that mean...

Re: 'Parting of the Ways' Dalek fleet vs. the Empire
On the other hand, these are Daleks. They're just the kind of creature that would get overexcited and accidentally kill everyone, they have other human planets to harvest per the Doctor's own comment, and wouldn't the display just show the continents vanishing if the sensors were destroyed?

Mind you, it's strange that teleport rays haven't been weaponized in other sources. All you'd have to do is change the exit coordinates to somewhere nasty or just out of the way.
