Pretty good considering they've got a transporter.
If Raven Rock is transporter resistant (radiation, mineral of the week etc...), then the away team is probably boned unless there is some other treknobabble solution handy. The only thing Trek really has in this scenario is space superiority.

Re: Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil SPOILERS
I was surprised that Set survived, but not that he didn't become a Sith. The story makes it clear that Set would be a terrible Sith Lord because of his self-centered tendencies, plus Cognus' first apprentice was Darth Millennial, who from his physical appearance is clearly not Set Harth.

Wait a second.
Does this mean that translations were available on the other networks?
Bolding mine.Zeond's article wrote: Limbaugh complained on his show about a Fox News broadcast that omitted translation of Hu’s words and spent 18 seconds speaking gibberish Chinese, mocking the language.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that covered already. Some Vulcan trilogy IIRC.FaxModem1 wrote: I would also like to see a book about Surak and the war that caused the initial schism between the Vulcans and the Romulans.

I've got to say, this is the first game where the dark side ending has made more sense to me. as far as I can tell it fits into canon a lot better that way as Spoiler

Have you written your plot down in the form of an outline? If you can get all the basics down on paper then it should be easier for you to manage your ideas.

Re: [360] Halo of War
Thoughts on the armor abilities? The only ones I tended to use on my initial playthrough (Normal difficulty) were the hologram and the bubble shield since it healed you and seemed to last reasonably long under fire, save fuel rods cannons and hunters. The armor lock seemed to be too short in durati...

Re: Gotham Intelligence - James Bond vs. The Batman (Update
The fight was very well handled. Just a couple nitpicks:
1. Rachel's last name is Dawes
2. Shouldn't Batman have at least noticed Bond's accent.
Othar than that it was a most enjoyable chapter.

Re: Gotham Intelligence - James Bond vs. The Batman
Very nice. I had thought about doing something like this a while back, never got around to it though, so I'm glad someone else did.
Bond was characterized pretty well. He had a hint of Connery to him which I liked.
I look forward to reading more.

The Robot Trilogy by Isaac Asimov. The interaction between Daneel and Bailey is pretty good, even if Bailey isn't that good of a detective.

Star Wars only, or are crossovers allowed too? Anyway, Scars of Mustafar by Darth Fanboy is really good, its in the Completed Fanfics subforum. Re: My Star Wars Novel Reading Planning List
I think that in Shadows of Mindor its mentioned near the end that what happens in the book is what actually happened, with Geptun making a holodrama that tweaks the events somewhat. Now I assumed that: What we saw in the book was Geptun's rewritten Holodrama. Note how it misses out Luke saying good...

Probably the Empire will be crushing the Federation until the crew of the Enterprise undergoes a dangerous mission to press the magic reset button, aided by the Heroes of Yavin, after which no one will remember any of it, thereby managing to piss off the lowest number of fans, most of whom will be h...

Re: Maine Republicans Adopt Tea Party Platform
I'm from Hillsborough County, around the Peterborough area. It's really a mix of political thought (or lack of it), but there was a lot of support for that "Vote on Marriage" idea, and the local paper had a lot of government conspiracy letters concerning 9/11 recently.

Given the recent outbreak of 9/11 nuts, at least in my area of NH, I'm not so sure NH is "mostly sane". That being said, I agree with your sentiment, I really do hope this doesn't migrate into NH.Alphawolf55 wrote:Hopefully this doesn't creep into NH, we're still for the most part sane.

Aron, it's not 'Are the 24th century bits the same timeline as the rest of nutrek' but 'Are the 24th century bits a different timeline than all of oldtrek,' which seems to be the case. Re: Podcast on SWvsST
As far as the timeline debate goes... I'm admittedly a bit rusty on canon evidence and rules of engagement. But isn't the fact that the creators of the new movie have explicitly said this is a new timeline / alternate timeline mean that it is? The fact that the stardates seem to back this up is jus...

If it was used TNG and beyond, and this is set a considerable time before TNG, I would think that this is something of a non-issue? What were the dates used in ToS? The issue comes from the fact that the Jellyfish 's own computer lists its manufacturing date as stardate 2387, meaning that the "...
