Re: Syria shoots down Turkish fighter.
This isn't surprising. Turkey has been routinely violating Greek airspace over the Aegean for as long as I can remember. Apparently the Syrians have the set of balls that our guys lack.

Re: Greek Elections-June 17 2012
I'm not sure I buy that. I mean, yeah, ten, five, even two years ago you would be right. "Fuck everyone else, I got mine" really is the one, true faith here. But it's not an adequate explanation for electing the same idiots who drove the country off a cliff, who cannot finish a sentence wi...

Re: Greek Elections-June 17 2012
Unfortunately the people lapped up the lies and the propaganda, and fear won out in the end. Samaras finally got his wish and became the prime minister. I doubt his government will last for long, but for the next few months, at least, he's free to do as he pleases. I only hope that he doesn't screw ...

Re: (Greece)Neo-Nazi MP attacks fellow female MP's on live T
Meh, that's SOP for them. They always sue the victim that dares to press charges. And they get away with it because they have significant support among the police and courts. Hell, last week the police arrested 8 of them for fighting with some anarchists in a cafeteria, trashing the place and sendin...

Re: (Greece)Neo-Nazi MP attacks fellow female MP's on live T
True. But recent polls have consistently shown them at 4% or, while they've been beating up immigrants and Lefties every night and generally being obvious nazi fucks. This incident is significant only because it was caught on live cam, and I really doubt it'll make a difference to those who support ...

Re: (Greece)Neo-Nazi MP attacks fellow female MP's on live T
I don't think it will. The online response to this incident has been mixed, with many commenters praising Kasidiaris. Unfortunately this kind of macho bullshit has its appeal. If anything, it will help convince idiots that Golden Dawn is serious and worthy of their vote.

Re: Neo-Nazi party in Greece could enter Parliament
On topic: not being an expert on Greek politics, but it seems to me that Greece is in for a political stalemate until further elections, as I can't see the Coalition of the Radical Left working with either of the other two main parties. And will anything change even then? You're right. SYRIZA (the ...

Re: Neo-Nazi party in Greece could enter Parliament
1. Why would they support Nazi's given the Nazi's invaded Greece. I am aware lots of nations have fringe groups which support Nazi's even though if the Nazi's were around they either invaded the nation or would have treated harshly that nation's ethnic groups. I am sure they each have their bullshi...

Re: Spyware! Spyware everywhere!
I checked my system.ini, and nothing seems out of place. It doesn't contain much anyway. I could cp it if you want to have a look.
And I have no idea what my Vista CD is, as I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Will check back if I do.

Re: Spyware! Spyware everywhere!
Alright, I replaced AVG with MSE, had it perform a full scan (10 frigging hours), redid all scans in safe mode, even ran combofix (without a backup, thanks for the warning White Haven :P) and it found some files it didn't like. But the problem persists. Spybot still finds stuff that should probably ...

Spyware! Spyware everywhere!
I got AVG, malwarebytes and spybot installed on my laptop, all fully updated and semi-frequently scanning. But lately it has been slower than usual, using way too much ram and cpu on idle, spybot always finds a dozen various malware even in nearly consecutive scans, and avg occasionally shows a popu...

Ah, great. I've gotten a few friends hooked, and they were very disappointed when I echoed that multi is broken. Now they'll be clamouring for a game, to settle once and for all who the best plotter is. (me)

I think so. I wasn't restricted in any way when some random vassal was appointed regent after my Kaiser suffered a blow to the head and became incapable.

Not always. In both of my game the Byzantines had a backbreaking civil war every few years, with each one resulting in either the seljuks grabbing a few more provinces, or some part of the balkans declaring independence. On my first game as the doux of Nikaea Constantinople was sieged every other de...

Re: Crusader Kings II?
One other annoyance is that the UI gets way too clattered when there's too much action. When I last was the Holy Roman Emperor and three quarters of the empire rose in revolt against my tyranny, I had to start moving popups so that I could actually see the map and order my armies around. And I secon...

Re: Merkel depicted as Nazi in greek rag
Thanks for the link Narkis. The more I read about stuff like this the more it seems Greece needs a decade or so of serious fixing under strict foreign oversight (think East Germany reconstruction) or that it needs to be cut loose, go bankrupt and then fix itself. Problem is the first situation seem...

@OP: Numbers aren't entirely accurate, but they're not far from my experience. They could be explained if the guy who made it lives in Athens, the most expensive place to be. I don't think that's right. Feel free to correct me, but my info from various sources has been that the current minimum salar...

Their wage is too low to support the lifestyle most of them have chosen, but it's definitely possible to live on it, and quite comfortably. I've read that their average wage reach about 2k euros per month with the bonuses they get, when minimum wage was about 700, and is now 591. Tax collectors have...

Re: Merkel depicted as Nazi in greek rag
I don't know. It just irks me seeing this brought up from people who should know better. Maybe I am just oversensitive to the Nazi stuff though. It does create a larger problem though, namely that of perception. Over here nations like Ireland and Portugal are pretty much seen as trying to fix thing...

Re: Merkel depicted as Nazi in greek rag
I wonder if it will come to a point where the successing power will have to grant immunity to the former deputees'/presidents/prime ministers so that they won't stand trial for their crimes against the people. They don't actually have to do that. The statute of limitations has already been set to a...
