Vulgar... This IS the universal set of ethics everyone will be judged whether they agree with them or not. Now on to the OP. Doesn't this man advocate the right approach of attracting their faith to you or not? Which is the actual question of the OP. Yes, I'm vulgar. Don't like it? Leave. And I rep...

Re: Loving People
Please, just one specific, well reasoned response that addresses the issue. Remember, though we may know as much about the bible as you do, don't assume we share the same worldview. If your goal is to make us accept yours; you can't start by assuming we take the same things for granted that you do....

Re: Loving People
For a person who requires his beliefs to actually conform to objective reality, no. To persuade the latter sort of person, you will require reason and evidence (and quoting Paul in Romans is not "evidence"). Why not look at the ground work of Christianity before you judge whether its base...

Re: Daniel 2
When I mentioned that these were supposed to be "world ruling empires", and most of the world was untouched by them, the missionaries resorted to the usual, "they meant just the part of the world they knew about" which seems to make Europe somewhat out of the picture, but ironic...

Re: Loving People
ITs interesting to note that a white man preaching Monotheism to the Mayans was seen abolishing human sacrifice. Oh, and forget about the animal sacrificing Shang Ti god of China, he wasn't monotheistic either. Neither was Viracocha. Do you think that Epicurus was talking about a righteous god angry...

INcluding lusting after the opposite sex. How close do you think that is to adultery anyway? I'm not saying that the world had one faith.. but the world has always had its covenants with God. A Jew becoming Christian under Jesus does not change that. And is in reality only different in nature becaus...

blah blah blah blah blah blah God cannot return to the Earth until he sends angels to give the Gospel to everyone on Earth. Not only that, but do not steal, do not kill, do not commit adultery, do not covet thy neighbor's anything, do not bear false witness, are half of the set of Commandments that ...

The Covenant is still valid, for a Jew. Christianity is valid for Christians. And Messianic Jews. You don't get to pick and choose. Either the old testament is obsolete, and so are the ten commandments, or they're perfectly valid. Which is it?

Not very light hearted, I see.
Listen,..... A Jew is not "Under the Law'. He has a Covenant with God. Christians have their own. The Bible is true, but we don't have a Jewish Covenant.

Re: Loving People
The Covenant with Israel and the Jews is not the entire Christian scripture. Sorry.
Edit-
The Ten Commandments are what people need to see that they have sinned so they turn to Jesus and accept him anyway.

Re: Loving People
Actually, putting the blood of Jesus on yourself and admitting that you have sinned... Is the same as obeying... A sign that you are actually genuine is obedience to God. Which is what I've been saying. Edit- Sorry sir, the OT never existed. It is known as the Covenant, and it is still in effect. Ho...

Re: Loving People
How interesting you're pointing out the things God is telling people that no longer exist to do for a modern Christian lifestyle. It's impossible to completely obey everything the Bible commands you to do in the real world without getting arrested for a sizable amount of God's orders.

Re: Loving People
Christian belief has to meet certain criteria about what they think Jesus is. And obedience. My point is that Christianity is not just belief in Jesus.
Even if only a few Christians exist in the world, that is enough reason for the entire faith to have relevance.
