Re: The Amazing Spiderman Movie (May have spoilers ahead)

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while so I thought I'd start back in this one. I think I have to agree with Nephtys. It wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was good either. Some scenes were great and others were boring and made the movie drag. And did anyone else think the CG was really bad? What was ...

Re: Phelps Baptists Get Tires Slashed. Locals Refuse to Rep

the old hateful geezer doesn't do anything anymore so I prefer to let him rot in his own decay and not give him the attention he might still have the capacity to crave. That's exactly what he's doing, and he completely deserves all the things people say about him. Does the monster really need to be...

Re: The Walking Dead!

Pretty good episode overall. I thought the character drama was a bit much, but the scenes with that handcuffed guy made up for it.

Re: The Walking Dead!

I don't think there is a scenario where I'd prefer zombies. Zombies need too much explaining or divine intervention to work and for all points and purposes are not at all interesting as antagonists. I couldn't disagree more. The beauty of zombies is that they don't need any kind of explanation. The...

Re: Torture porn in cop shows

Not new. I'm pretty sure that was the norm on just about every cop show throughout the 70's. Ever watch the old Kojak or Starsky & Hutch? I also seem to recall Joe Friday on the old Dragnet shows even roughing up a perp or two on occasion. I love the old "tough guy cop who plays by his own ...

Re: The Walking Dead!

And this is what may cause me to lose interest in the show. I don't have a problem with supernaturally-animated undead. I have a problem with such beings in a universe like the one in the show. Wait, you could lose interest because there could be some magic wizard guy somewhere causing it, or becau...

Re: The Walking Dead!

This is a total meh-. Zombies are lame in more interesting scenarios, and this one would have to set me up with a willing hot chick and give me loads of money before it comes even close to interesting. So far the only thing going for this series are good special effects. I'm willing to bet real fak...

Re: The Walking Dead!

I find the Romero type zombies to be hilariously un-scary to be honest, but the Snyder type from the remake where they're all sprinters who can run for miles, are really really scary. The quicker a zombie is, the more believable the threat is IMO. Yeah, I hear ya. I think what makes Romero's zombie...

Actually, the front doors are closed in the pic. This is what it looks like with the front doors opened. I might just take them off completely. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v689/bozman007/Message%20Board%20Graphics/tower.jpg It also has a vent fan on the side and back. I think it actually does ...

Thanks.

I think I'm going to go ahead and risk it. Do you know a good free program I can use to monitor the core temp? Maybe I'll have a chance if I keep an eye on it.

Re: The Walking Dead!

Overall, I like the show. I've always loved old school, slow moving, shoot 'em in the head zombies, and this show nailed it. I'm not thrilled about the overuse of CGI, but that's pretty much all cinema special effects these days. It looks good for what it is. The only complaint I have is that the di...

Is there enough breathing room for my pc tower here?

Since I've blown up computers before from a lack of ventilation, I thought I had better get some more opinions about this. The PC I put together here is actually pretty nice, but the tower is older and sort of oversized. I'm wanting to run it from inside this desk space, but I'm not sure there's eno...

Re: Hard drive disk management problem?

I don't think it's a partition issue. Last I checked, I'm showing a C and E partition, and the E is only 100 mb. I'm not sure why it even thinks I have a D drive. It's a real Windows 7 disk. I was getting to the prompt from the repair feature, but it's never done anything like this until now. Anyway...

Re: Hard drive disk management problem?

If you're using a Windows 7 disk why are you arsing around with a command prompt? Just click Disk Options (Advanced) when you get to the screen that asks you for a target partition to install to and you can do all of your partition management and formatting there. Try doing that. I think this is wh...

Hard drive disk management problem?

I don't really know if this is a problem or not, but my laptop seems to be confused. Whenever I try to reformat using the Windows 7 installation disk, I restart, boot from the CD, then I use the usual "format C:" command at the prompt. Instead of reformatting, it asks for the volume label,...

Re: How would the Jedi react to the Q?

Given the endless debates over Q's abilities ("are they actually magical beings or just technologically advanced aliens," etc.), I think I'm going to agree with Necron. I don't think you can really quantify Q's abilities or power. And, like the Borg, Q has changed quite a bit through the v...
