We're so screwed.
On the other hand didn't the court just say that the Brits can just decide to cancel Brexit on their own?

Re: General Automation Thread

The only explanation I've seen is that self-driving cars + a ride sharing app is somehow going to be cheaper than people owning self-driving cars. They then point to Uber, a company that has never made a profit, to prove that ride sharing is cheaper. No explanation of how the ride sharing vehicle, ...

Pic of the car, it looks like it has almost full roof top scanner set, possibly others elsewhere but I'm not bothering with pixel hunting. https://twitter.com/NTSB_Newsroom/status/976215176323194880/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fs9e.github.io%2Fiframe%2Ftwitter.min.html%23976...

I found Okhotnik to be an insanely fun trollboat, but you will really want 14pt captain at least for AFT to be able to shoot to 11km.

Re: Repub scum bring us one step closer to proper wage slavery.

Quick question since the discussion on other sites is saying every which way on this and I don't look into it too hard since I'm in another country. Working one hour of overtime now means getting payed for 1.5 hours normal pay before this law. After this law does the employer now have the option to ...

Re: World of Warships

It is pretty bad, would have been way better to just give everyone the (minor) reward the winning team was going to get because it was outright obvious after the first bit who was going to win when the major clans all picked the same side. I heard that OMNI on NA was even force moved from fire to wa...

You could also play any 19 point captain for elite commander xp for instant leveling and respeccing if you can earn xp faster with them.

Re: World of Warships

Well I decided to drag out some of my T6 ships to see if there was anything I could division with Thanas using. Took my Farragut out for the first time in ages and ended up getting my first Solo Warrior badge.

Re: World of Warships

Xmas crates are evil. Yes I spent way too much, and yes I've been crazy lucky with them. Don't know if they will kill WGs rest of year sales though as a lot of people ended up with a lot of stuff to last quite a while and others will likely be saving for the next crate release.

Re: universal basic income (UBI)

Since UBI is unlikely, I wonder if the government becoming an employer of last resort might become a thing. Not digging and filling pointless holes but maybe people getting paid survival rates to attend community college classes, just being non-disruptive being the requirement and actually putting i...

Re: World of Warships

The 3 euro crates have high chance of getting premium ships. Buy them one at a time and open them before buying the next to avoid getting multiples of the same ship since you can't seem to get another ship of a type sitting in your port. So far I spent way too much money but got Anshan/Arizona/Warsp...

It's been noticed and documented for quite some time of course. The worst is when the container stays the same size, but the bottom is domed up, not only making less there but more hard to get at the stuff in the newly made corners so more wasted too.

Re: Lesuire time now more valuable

If the un/under employment was being caused by people just not wanting to work while there were jobs open then companies would be acting more like there was competition for people so wages would not be stuck at the bottom and job quality would be increasing. It's pretty obvious that of course a high...

Since Spring is being added as well the first set of episodes could be surviving the winter then spring. The second season of episodes may...

I just got the game and so far it has been worth the price even if development stopped, which it hasn't. Being worried about losing progress is not that fitting for this game though, almost all resources are non-renewable so in an in-game week you can gather up an absurd stash then after that it's j...

Doing away with labor laws would buy those jobs what a couple years at best? Pretty bad years for the employees too.

For the bottom end of the job market there's always talk every time the min wage being increased comes up where it is often said that minimum wage type jobs do not create enough value for the person doing it to be paid enough to survive off of it. How long can such jobs be forced to continue to exis...

Re: Creative usage of limited wish

That's nonmagic items. Under 3.5e, you can wish for a magic item. Any magic item. It just costs (XP cost of item x2) + 5000 XP to cast. Except that if a Wish that comes from a spell like ability or magic item (like an efreeti or a staff of 50 wishes), the XP cost is obviated. The first Wish is proh...

Re: THE OotS Thread, Part IV.

There isn't a surplus of high level casters though if only the high priests could do it, and their spell slots are probably already spoken for so even if a commoner managed to scrape up the cash it might not be enough to have the spell cast. If you can get a level 13 cleric to cast it, the spell cos...
